| Ever since I have been little I have wanted to help people and bring more kindness into the world. I am now a junior at the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam and I still want the same thing. When I was a little girl I almost lost my best friend to childhood leukemia. I would have to say that, that is something that has truly shaped and defined my life, and NOT in a negative way. It has made me realize how precious life is and how grateful we must be for every minute. It also pushed me to think of how I could help other children who are fighting cancer. Last summer I started Jess's Hope which is a small operation in which I make crafts and cards and other presents for the home. The profit goes to helping children with cancer. However, I wanted to do something bigger, so I will be fulfilling that dream by hosting a Holiday Benefit Concert with all proceeds going to help do something nice at this time of year for children with cancer. There will be a silent auction & baked goods! | ||
