 The Marc Black Trio is focused on Marc’s finger-style blues guitar and vocals. The repertoire features tunes from the likes of very early Ray Charles (when he still sounded like Nat King Cole), Mose Allison, Tim Hardin & Muddy Waters. There are also some tasty original blended in.
The group consists of Marc who was recently inducted into the New York Chapter of the Blues Hall of Fame. On drums, Eric Parker, who’s first gig (as a teenager) was with Paul Butterfield. He’s gone on to tour with Joe Cocker, Stevie Winwood and many more. And, on bass, Michael Esposito, a founding member and lead guitarist of the Blues Magoos. |

| Ever since I have been little I have wanted to help people and bring more kindness into the world. I am now a junior at the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam and I still want the same thing. When I was a little girl I almost lost my best friend to childhood leukemia. I would have to say that, that is something that has truly shaped and defined my life, and NOT in a negative way. It has made me realize how precious life is and how grateful we must be for every minute. It also pushed me to think of how I could help other children who are fighting cancer.
Last summer I started Jess's Hope which is a small operation in which I make crafts and cards and other presents for the home. The profit goes to helping children with cancer. However, I wanted to do something bigger, so I will be fulfilling that dream by hosting a Holiday Benefit Concert with all proceeds going to help do something nice at this time of year for children with cancer. There will be a silent auction & baked goods! |

 Our once-monthly Kids' Open Mic is a showcase for talented musicians and singers ages 6 - 17. Sing solo or with a band. Teachers are welcome to perform with student.
Bring your guitar, bass, sax, flute or whatever instrument you play. We provide a drum kit, keyboard, amps and microphones. iPod backing music accommodated. (Internet connection not available, so have your song pre-set.)
Our Kids' Open Mic has become a popular favorite, and is always full of surprises and incredible talent. Come to perform or just come to listen!
Sign-up begins at 5:30. Kids under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Every month, we offer a $10 Burger special for kids 12 & under. Bring the entire family and enjoy a night of great food and great musical fun. Please make dinner reservations early, as we often sell out.

 The Afro-Peruvian Ensemble is an unforgettable live experience that will bring you to your feet! The all-star ensemble directed by drummer Hector Morales, includes former Peru Negro singer, Mariela Valencia, percussionists Marcos Napa and Hector Ferreyra, multi-Grammy Award winning bass player Oscar Stagnaro, Ali Bello on violin and Yuri Juarez on guitar. The joyful sounds of the Peruvian coast in a contemporary treatment is rooted in rich tradition. Their repertoire includes uplifting festejos and zamacuecas, dazzling Peruvian waltzes, sensual landos, and classics of Afro-Peruvian folklore with adaptations of Jazz and Latin Jazz standards.

 Rebecca Martin has recorded a number of fine albums, most notably with jazz drummer Paul Motian. Ms. Martin accompanies herself on acoustic guitar and enlists top-flight musicians. Applying Motian's less-is-more ethic with her album "The Growing Season", created an enthusiastic response!
"...warm, unguarded voice, an instrument of modesty and forbearance..." - The New York Times
The album's success led to Best Folk/Singer-Songwriter Album at the Independent Music Awards and to headlining shows at the Village Vanguard NYC, making Martin the first singer-songwriter to perform at the jazz club in more than 30 years.
Rebecca's subsequent recordings have been released to critical acclaim, as has her collaboration, Tillery, with singer/songwriters Gretchen Parlato and Becca Stevens.
Rebecca has been a big part of the evolution of the Falcon. It is always an honor to have her in the house. |

 MICHAEL PACKER is an american singer-songwriter, guitarist and Blues Hall Of Fame inductee who was born in New York City in 1950. He did his first gig at the Bitter End in Greenwich Village at the age of 15. In 1969 he formed the group 'Papa Nebo" which included saxophonist Bob Mintzer who went on to play with the Grammy award winning "Yellowjackets". Papa Nebo recorded an album for Atlantic records. They were personally signed by Ahmet Ertegun.Today it is a collectors item.
Packer soon took his sound to the West Coast with buddy Sandy Allen, playing on the streets of San Francisco during the day and The Coffee Gallery in North Beach at night, Michael met George Thorogood and was turned on to the blues.
Eventually Packer and Allen made their way back to New York where they started another project "Free Beer"."Free Beer" was born at Gerdes Folk City in Greenwich Village (1973) where they added singer-songwriter Bob Potter.

 Vignola's Trio explores the Great American Popular Songbook on a whirlwind tour of popular standards - Gershwin, Berlin, Ellington, Waller, Rodgers and Hart, Hoagy Carmichael, spiced with Bernstein and a few from Lennon and McCartney. “We like to have people leave our shows feeling better than when they arrived."
Vignola worked as a sideman for artists like Leon Redbone and Madonna, and led his famed Hot Club of France tribute band in New York City in the late 1980s. His virtuosity has made him a guitarist of choice for many musicians, including Ringo Starr, Donald Fagen, Wynton Marsalis, Tommy Emmanuel and Mark O' Connor.
An extremely versatile jazz guitarist, Frank Vignola has demonstrated his capabilities, playing everything from fusion and commercial pop-jazz to hard bop, post-bop, and swing. The native New Yorker has a wide variety of influences; from Wes Montgomery, Joe Pass, and Pat Metheny to Django Reinhardt and Charlie Christian. |

 They've been taking Asbury Park by storm (again)! Slim Chance recently played alongside Lynyrd Skynyrd at Asbury Park's famous Stone Pony.
Slim Chance & The Gamblers describes their sound as "Bluesrockafunkadelica", which is Blues, Rock, Funk and Psychedelic music combined. Cool percussion brings Latin influences to the band, like Carlos Santana and Ray Baretto.
The band performs songs from Bob Marley to Little Feat, Eric Clapton to The Meters, Santana to Jimmy Buffett and many more... Zack Brown, Springsteen, The Drifters, Billy Joel, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, The Eagles and even a little Zydeco from south Louisiana "to round out the day". This is always a fun night at the Rosendale Cafe. There are 6 performers from 8pm to 10pm. Given the time of year, most of my set will be Christmas Instrumental guitar music. I may include one Christmas parody song I wrote as well.
