 We wrap up the fall series of "Jazz At The Falls" Sunday brunches with jazz guitar legend Eddie Diehl & bassist Lou Pappas.
Eddie is widely recognized as one of the greats of jazz guitar. Playing professionally since the mid '50s, Eddie's worked with well known performers such as Hank Jones, Freddie Cole, Jack McDuff, Al Haig & Harry Belafonte.
Bassist Lou Pappas has performed with Jay McShann, Bill Watrous & Randy Brecker. He’s now an instructor of double bass at Vassar & SUNY New Paltz.

Rj Cowdery brings her stories and songs from Columbus, Ohio to SSH. Her songs are simultaneously universal and deeply personal. She has received major accolades at some of the most prestigious festivals in the U.S., including wins at the 2007 Mountain Stage NewSong, 2008 Kerrville New Folk, and 2008 Falcon Ridge Emerging Artist competitions. Most recently, she won the Dave Carter Memorial Songwriting Contest at the Sisters Folk Festival in Oregon. RJ will be appearing fresh off her Quad Showcase at Nerfa!
Opening for RJ is local singer-songwriter activist Pat Lamanna whose songs touch the heart and inspire political/environmental action. Pete Seeger referred to Pat as "One of the finest voices in Dutchess County!"

 Bryan Copeland formed Bryan and the Aardvarks in order to explore an inventive new sound that derived from his jazz training as well as his upbringing in pop and country music. The music he writes for the quartet combines a hushed intimacy with memorable, singable melodies and a narrative directness that nevertheless leaves space for expressive improvisation.
In vocalist Camila Meza, pianist Fabian Almazan, vibraphonist Chris Dingman, guitarist Jesse Lewis, and drummer Joe Nero, he has assembled a distinctive ensemble able to flesh out his unique compositions.
Copeland hit on the sound organically, while coping with the death of a close friend. He sat down at the piano one day and the shimmering melody of “Sunshine Through the Clouds” flowed out of him. Copeland recalls, “...I wasn’t really thinking about what I was playing. Something deep in my subconscious
just came out, and that’s still the approach I take..."

| Libby Koch is an Americana singer-songwriter who draws from a classic blend of country, folk and rock. She was a finalist in the Wildflower! Performing Songwriter Contest and a semifinalist in the Songwriter Serenade. Libby was named Songwriter of the Year (2013) by the Houston Press and was selected for official showcases at last year’s Southwest Regional Folk Alliance (SWRFA) and this year’s Northeast Regional Folk Alliance (NERFA) conferences. Earlier this year, the seventh generation Texan released her third full-length recording. Tennessee Colony is a collection of ten songs about family, faith and home inspired by the small East Texas town of the same name (pop. 150), where Libby’s mother’s family settled in the mid-1800s and in whose red clay ground many generations of her family were laid to rest. Several of the songs are based on stories her grandparents shared with her while she was growing up. |

 Two-time Emmy Award Winner DAVID KRAMER will be premiering select segments of his definitive documentary on Jimi Hendrix, between sets of live Hendrix music performed by the band "Ducks Can Groove" direct from Sweden.
In 1967 following the Monterey Pop Festival, The Jimi Hendrix Experience was scheduled to play a week at the Fillmore West, opening for the Jefferson Airplane. After the first night it was decided that the Jefferson Airplane open for Jimi Hendrix! Tonight we continue that tradition as Reverend Jefferson opens for Ducks Can Groove!

 Dave formed the Dave Kain Group to create a jazz band that would not be restricted to playing jazz standards but instead could flex its muscles with original jazz music. In 2002, the group released a demo The Kain Mutiny and in 2005 they recorded Citizen Kain, a full-length album. Dave released No Pain No Kain (2007) including musicians Matt Garrison, upright bass player Dylan Johnson, and notable artists Jon Cowherd, and Jeff Hirshfield. In 2011, he released his latest album "Kain is Able" reaching a high point in his compositional and musical development. The personell are Matt Garrison, Ryan Berg, Paul Francis, Sean Nowell, Travis Sullivan and Jason Colby. The Dave Kain Group has played venues and toured across the U.S. Dave has also had the priviledge to play with music greats Jon Cowherd, Noah Preminger, Ratzo Harris, Joel Frahm, Roy Assaf, Harvie S, Tony Jefferson, among others.

 Woodstock-based singer-songwriter Adrien Reju has coined her own brand of indie-folk-retro-rock with her strong, clear Patsy Cline-esque voice and old-soul quality songs with contemporary hooks. Fellow peer and singer-songwriter Rachael Yamagata says "she is like a bird from another planet who can see directly into your heart".
To date, Adrien has released a 5-song EP, Lucky Ones (2012), and a full length LP, A Million Hearts (2009) to critical acclaim with regular rotation on WXPN's World Cafe with David Dye. She has toured the US and Canada appearing as an opener and band member/backup singer with artists including Rachael Yamagata, A.C. Newman (The New Pornographers), Neko Case, Amos Lee, Gillian Welch, Linda Rondstadt and David Bromberg. Her songs "Heartless" and “The Waiting Room” were featured in the Hallmark movie "Flower Girl". |

 David Johansen began his career as the singer of the protopunk band the New York Dolls in the early '70s. Johansen then embarked on a solo career, performing frequently with Sylvain Sylvain.
Later, Johansen's pseudonym and alter ego, Buster Poindexter, appeared with Saturday Night Live's House Band, scoring the hit song "Hot Hot Hot". His work as an actor brought him prominent roles.
Johansen turned his attention to country blues with the release of 'David Johansen and the Harry Smiths' and also reunited with New York Dolls members in 2005.
David continues to host David Johansen's Mansion of Fun, a weekly radio show on Sirius and he has returned to his uproarious, challenging, and catchy persona, touring as Buster Poindexter!
Multi-instrumentalist, BRIAN KOONIN, who has been with David through projects including the New York Dolls and The Harry Smiths will accompany David on guitar and drums. |

 Songwriting partners Danny Golub and Caroline Couture combine their distinguished voices in original songs that will melt your heart, and have you dancing in your seat. Their polished harmonies and classic pop sensibilities are infused with jazz, bluegrass, folk, and rock. The eclectic duo has crafted a refreshing, unique sound.
Caroline and Danny met studying Studio Composition at the Purchase College Conservatory of Music. A mutual admiration sparked their decision to form a songwriting team originally known as Bees Kneez. Their first collaboration "Better Days" was an exciting glimpse at the potential of the duo. In 2013 "Better Days" was featured in a Coca Cola advertisement promoting the Olympics games in Russia, and earning Danny and Caroline some international exposure.
Danny and Caroline's first two EPs are available now in itunes, and their first full length album is set for release in early 2015.

The Allman Brothers played their last show in October, but you can still enjoy their music! Brothers of the Road plays "flawless renditions" of songs like Revival, Hoochie Coochie Man, Tied to the Whipping Post, Hot Lanta, Midnight Rider, Rambling Man, and on and on.
