 The Chris O'Leary Band's music is rooted in the blues and steeped in the tradition of Memphis, Chicago with shades of New Orleans, rockabilly and big, high-energy sound.
Levon Helm can be heard in Chris's early sessions, and sitting in with regular gigs. Soon, Levon asked Chris to join the house band at his new club in New Orleans. Chris’s band relocated and became the focal point of Levon Helm's Barn Burners, backing up touring stars and opening for New Orleans' finest players.
Their third CD on the Vizztone label, 'Live at Blues Now!' was recorded in Basel Switzerland with very special guest Alex Schultz.
Awards include Blues Blast Best New Artist Debut winner and BMA nominee.

The group is taking the concept of the organ trio in a new and different direction, drawing on many different influences and styles.
The group explores the grittier, rockier side of the genre referencing groups like the original Tony Williams Lifetime and mines the jazz standard repertoire for obscure gems and deep cuts.
The group will be playing original tunes, jazz standards, lost classics and rare gems.

 The luscious vocal duo Amy Fradon and Leslie Ritter will appear in concert at Unison Arts Center for a special evening of old favorites, original solo pieces and cover songs culled from their three acclaimed CD's. Helen Avakian and Cathie Malach will join them on guitar and keyboards, respectively.
Amy Fradon and Leslie Ritter have a successful recording and performing career as a singing duo for more than 12 years before deciding to pursue solo careers and other endeavors. A few years ago they performed together for a reunion concert and had such a good time they decided to play together a few times a year. This evening at Unison will give audiences an opportunity to witness the beauty and magic that happens when these two voices come together.
Tickets are $21 in advance ($18 for Unison members) and $26 a the door ($22 members). Students are half price with a valid ID.

 Fred Smith, former musical director for the Harlem Blues & Jazz Band, is the trumpeter of choice for swing bands including Panama Francis Orchestra, George Kelly's Jazz Sultans, and Al Cobb's Big Band.
Fred has also played with Dr. Lonnie Smith, Bross Townsend, Lou Donaldson, Houston Person & Etta Jones, Alvin Queen Quintet, Honi Coles & the Copacetics, Hugh Masekela, Larry Willis, Bernard Purdie, Lloyd Price Orchestra, and played in bands backing singers Ruth Brown, Carrie Smith, Della Griffen, Annette St. John, as well as performing in many night clubs during Harlem, Brooklyn, Queens and Greenwich Village Hey Day!

From salsa and flamenco to reggae to calypso, Sekanjabin breathes new life into centuries old folk music. The group's ever-changing cast boasts members from the US, Turkey, and Peru. Frontwoman Gulin Ciloglu spends most of her time in Turkey, but whenever she returns to the States, Sekanjabin assembles! The result is a unique, high-energy live show that spills over from the stage to the dance floor.

A viewing and memorial service will be conducted for Hudson Valley blues artist Little Melvin Underwood. Little Melvin was a very talented and inspirational blues performer. Originally from Mississippi, Little Melvin was a contemporary of B.B. King and was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 2011. Visitation runs 5pm-7pm followed by a memorial service at 7pm. They are currently putting the finishing touches on their newest project "Dark Time" (Art Labriola/Producer) . Bobby C and Lynn have performed with a number of major acts including: Jon Bon Jovi, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, The Crash Test Dummies, NRBQ, Reverend Horton Heat, Danny Kalb (former member of the Blues Project) and America. They were also a featured act at Woodstock ’94 in Saugerties, NY.
