Marlboro, NY   See Map
The Ministers of Sound deliver their mix of Gospel, Blues, Traditional, Poignant, and Time-Honored American Music, in an up-close and personal setting.

King and the late Levon Helm are Alexis P fans. Suter and her band have played nearly 100 of Helm’s shows in Woodstock NY and open for “The King” when he visits her hometown of NYC.

With the singular voice of Miss Suter, The Ministers of Sound feature the multi-faceted talents of Ray Grappone (APSB, Buster Poindexter, Levon Helm) on drums and percussion, Vicki Bell (APSB, Open Door, Corey Daye) on vocals and percussion.

Also with Connor Kennedy on guitar, and Special Guest Dave Keyes on keyboards!!

My primary instrument is my voice, and my guitar embellishes, accompanies, and decorates it. My sound and style are my own. Exposure to music and vocal styles of all types, ranging from standards to jazz to folk/traditional to blues, and to the music of Great Britain, the Appalachian Mountains of Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, and North Carolina, have influenced my sound and led me to describe my music as "eclectic acoustic." I have opened for Christine Lavin and Dave Cousins and performed in Showcases and the Open Mic Finals at the Towne Crier Cafe in Pawling, NY, and appeared in venues in the Hudson Valley and Southwestern CT. I perform a good mix of songs, including my own compositions, covers, and traditional music. I like to tell the stories of the traditional songs I sing and might focus on the song's provenance, themes, imagery, history, depiction of characters, etc.

Scarecrow takes you into a world where the Blues and Hip Hop are one. Where the groove is king. Where freedom has no price but the pain of soul, torn from a dobro or sampled from an old vinyl... no recipe.

Jamo and Pap provide the backbone on bass/drums respectively. Slim Paul's blues guitar and singing are juxtaposed with Antibiotik's talent as a DJ and lyricist to combine and unlikely combination, comparing generations, mixing two languages, two cultures and two instruments like nothing you've heard before.

With its unique composition style and thundering performances, this blues hip-hop group from France puts the fire back in 2014.

JP plays Blues harp and alto sax (and sometimes a little stand-up comedy!), and always performs with passion and energy. His audiences feel it... and love it.

Every month, there's a new dynamic on the stage. Tonight, JP is joined by the incredible talents of Dave McDowell on sax, Paulie Biz on bass, Johnny Feds on guitar, Chris Burke on keys and Manny Henry on drums.

Arc Iris, Jocie Adams, Zach Tenorio-Miller , Mike Irwin, Robin Ryczek , Ray Belli, Max Johnson, Charlie RoseThe FALCON
1348 Route 9W
Marlboro, NY   See Map
Arc Iris crystallizes the evolution of composer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist Jocie Adams, a former core member of renowned indie-folk band The Low Anthem. This is a breakaway moment for Adams, who now takes center stage as composer, lyricist, and lead vocalist.

Embracing her new role as auteur, Adams has created a genre-bending style that often shifts between cabaret-infused jazz, orchestral sophistication, grimy outlaw country, delicate and whimsical harmonies, and big-band exhilaration – sometimes all in the same song.

Adams’ vast aesthetic vision is matched only, and appropriately, by the band’s multifaceted musicianship, which includes Zach Tenorio-Miller on piano, Mike Irwin on trumpet, Robin Ryczek on cello, Ray Belli on drums, Max Johnson on bass, and Charlie Rose on steel banjo and trombone. In rehearsing, the group drew inspiration from a range of artists, in particular Dirty Projectors, Harry Nilsson, and Leonard Cohen.

The SUNDOWN Band has been performing their brand of Southern Rock since 1976. Every time the band's been reviewed, the response is the same: "You will be hard pressed to find another band that performs with the talent, passion, and intensity that these guys bring to the stage every night." (WPDH 101.5 FM).

SUNDOWN's played all the legendary Westchester clubs like the Fore 'n Aft, Bottom's Up and The Beachmont, as well as NYC clubs like Lone Star Cafe. Many of the band's life-long fans now bring their teenage kids to experience the band's classic style; unique renditions of Southern Rock classics from bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers, Marshall Tucker, Molly Hatchet & more. The highlight of their shows are the duel guitar talents of Ronnie Pauls and Steve Mitchell, which leaves audiences in awe. We can't wait.
