A Tribute to SANTANA!!!
with Taboo
Rock (classic)
12 Grapes Music & Wine Bar
12 North Division Street
Peekskill, NY   See Map
In 1969, Santana burst on the music scene with a searing performance at Woodstock. The innovative combination of electric blues-rock guitar and Afro-Cuban rhythms filled their music with heart, soul and a burning sensuality that’s never been duplicated to this day.

Inspired by the incredible intensity of this music, Taboo shares a passion for re-creating the electrifying sound of Santana's greatest hits. And audiences, without exception, have been wowed by the authenticity of the magic Santana sound that Taboo delivers.

It's all there: the propulsive Latin percussion, the fiery lead guitar work, the "groove" that connects to the soul of the audience. Their set list is full of old favorites, as well as the recent hits from "Supernatural" and beyond.

**$10 Entertainment Fee or $5 with dinner entree**

Entertainment Fee goes directly to the band. Thank you for supporting live music.

The LA Based Troubadour returns with a new release - Two Moons!
with Tom Freund and Friends
The FALCON
1348 Route 9W
Marlboro, NY   See Map
It’s the effortless ease with which he delivers conversational lyrics and mellifluous melodies a natural magic that is the heart of Tom Freund’s music.

Freund's latest disc "Two Moons" on Surf Road Records, finds the Los Angeles-based Freund in a contemplative yet confident mood, where swirls of nostalgia blend with sharp-eyed views of life today. With his new album, Freund draws on folk, rock, jazz and other roots sources for an urbane Americana sound. Blending woozy mariachi horns and mermaid-evoking backing vocals in and a blast of electric guitar. Inspired by a lot of old Squeeze music, Freund also mixed trippy keyboards and old-school synths to flesh out tracks like “Me and Bernice and “Lemme Be Who I Wanna Be."

Caramoor Presents: An Evening with the David Grisman Sextet. David Grisman returns to Caramoor! For nearly half a century, mandolinist / composer / bandleader / producer David Grisman has been a guiding force in the evolving world of acoustic music. His musical range is wide and deep – embracing many styles, genres and traditions.

An acoustic pioneer and innovator, Grisman forged a unique personal artistic path, skillfully combining elements of the great American music/art forms — jazz and bluegrass with many international flavors and sensibilities to create his own distinctive idiom – “Dawg” music (the nickname given him by Jerry Garcia.) In doing so, he’s inspired new generations of acoustic string musicians, while creating his own niche in contemporary music.

With influences ranging from hot jazz to bluegrass to classic rock to folk, the David Grisman Sextet is a unique and dynamic experience.

Susan Kane's sweet and sharp Americana is an alchemy of stuff dug from the dirt, born from books, gleaned from the air, yesterday's news and tomorrow's daydreams. Her third CD, A Word Child, was released in late 2012. Like her previous two releases, it was well received by radio the world-over, reaching high positions on several charts over several months. She is hard at work on her fourth release.

New York based Judy Kass, classically trained, blends generous amounts of folk, jazz and blues. Whether playing piano or finger-style guitar, Judy quickly draws in her audience with soulful vocals, no-nonsense lyrics and genre-bending harmonics. Her debut album, Better Things, released early 2014, highlights her skills as a multi-instrumentalist, singer, writer and arranger.
