The Roadside Attraction is real American roots music - with elements of country, bluegrass, blues, folk, jazz and rock sewn into the fabric of their sound. Sunday 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm | Split Bill! with The Stacks, Andy Stack, Tania Elizabeth | The FALCON 1348 Route 9W Marlboro, NY See Map |
There are many musicians that are great with words, and more still that can play with passion and versatility, but the two together are inarguably more rare.Andy Stack and Tania Elizabeth are two such artists. Intensely musical and intuitive players, they are both known for their abilities to accompany others with amazing sensitivity and accuracy. They met in a prohibition-era blues club in the middle of NYC, both having come to support a mutual friend who was playing there. A conversation about music turned into a four-hour jam session, and a duo was born. Their sound is an intoxicating blend of old and new; blues and gospel collide with kitchen-party fiddle riffs and crystal clear vocals that shake the foundation of North American music. To see the two play together, it’s obvious that there is an understanding between them, a foundation from which anything seems possible.

Worth a good, long listen! Featuring Chris Peifer on bass and Todd Giudice on drums.

Chubby's first big break was winning a national blues talent search sponsored by KLON, a public radio station in Long Beach, California. He won New Artist of the Year, and opened the Long Beach Blues Festival in 1992. Chubby played more than 200 club dates a year through the '90s. His Sony/Okeh debut, Booty and the Beast, was produced by legendary Atlantic Records engineer/producer Tom Dowd, whose recordings by Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Wilson Pickett, and others are timeless. Troubled by the war in Iraq, Chubby released his most political album, Peace, Love and Respect, followed by Big Man Big Guitar; Stealing the Devil's Guitar; Electric Chubbyland; Vicious Country; Universal Breakdown Blues followed in 2013 and featured Chubby's cover version of "Over the Rainbow" as its centerpiece.

Saturday 8:00 pm | Special Valentine's Concert with The Kennedys Folk/Traditional, Pop/Soft Rock, and Singer-Songwriter | Acoustic Cafe Music Series 25 Fremont Ave Park Ridge, NJ See Map |
| The Kennedys return to the Acoustic Cafe for a Post- Valentine’s Concert on February 15th! With Special guest, local HS senior Matt Roy.
In a career that now spans two decades, NY duo Pete and Maura Kennedy have traversed a broad musical landscape, surveying power pop, acoustic songwriting, organic rock rooted in their early days in Austin, and a Byrds-inspired jangle that drew the attention of Roger McGuinn, Steve Earle, and most notably Nanci Griffith. The duo co-produced Nanci's latest CD. On their own recent release, "Closer Than You Know", the songs have a quality, inherent in Maura’s voice, that is both soothing and urgent. As writers and producers, the Kennedys continue to mature, from their early style-conscious pop to today’s burnished sheen. Always tuned to their own muse, Pete and Maura have once again come up with a unique sound that is as uplifting as it is unclassifiable. www.Kennedysmusic.com
