Born in Washington D.C. but currently living in Brooklyn, NY, Erik splits his time between his own band and backing up artists like Norah Jones, Rosanne Cash, Jim Campilongo, Alice Smith, Ellery Eskelin, Steven Bernstein, and Theo Bleckmann. Deutsch holds the distinction of being the only keyboardist to tour regularly with 7-string guitar master Charlie Hunter, and has spent the last two years on the road with Shooter Jennings, Citizen Cope, and Phillip Phillips.

2012 marked the release of Deutsch's 3rd album Demonio Teclado, a psychedelic blend of retro soul-jazz and rock.

What do a couple of IBM-ers, an orthodontist, a former roadie for Prince, and a handsome young fellow with actual talent have in common? Not a thing. Somehow they started playing music together in Krumville NY.

Folk, rock, blues, a bit of country, and an occasional polka, this band defies strict definition. In fact, they prefer Webster's Dictionary version: "Band: a flat, thin strip or loop of material put around something, typically to hold it together or to decorate it."

Live at the Library acoustic concert series presents Amy Fradon, and Nina Sheldon & Peter Einhorn. "Amy Fradon is a natural down-home folk singer who doesn't just sing her heart out. She puts in the very essence of her entire being, with a beautiful, larger than life voice. Amy lifts you straight up into a higher plane where a mere song can become a truly moving, spiritual experience. "- Frank Matheis ("Frank's Picks"--WKZE). Nina Sheldon's vocals reflect a sophisticated sense of rhythm and harmonic sensibility; a warm, natural voice; flawless intonation; an exceptional versatility and an incisive sense of time. “She plays like a demon and sings like a living doll.” -- The New Yorker Peter Einhorn has performed and / or recorded with Joe Lavono, Jimmy Cobb, Steve Swallow, Placido Domingo, John Abercrombie, Steve Kuhn, Eddie Daniels, Roland Hanna, Walter Booker and many others. The show starts at 7pm at the Woodstock Library. The feature following the open mic are the Piedmont Bluz duo. Dedicated to the preservation of Country Blues and the Piedmont style, their mission is to help keep this rural, east coast tradition alive by educating audiences about this unique aspect of African American culture through musical entertainment. They have delighted audiences along the east coast from Woodstock, NY to Richmond, VA and are much loved wherever they go. "There are stories to tell, people to remember, and things that must be said" - VT

"Just when people think the old country blues of the Mid-Atlantic has faded away, along come the wonderful husband and wife duo of Valerie and Ben Turner who are heirs to the Piedmont blues tradition. They are known as the duo 'Piedmont Bluz' and play the truehearted, authentic country blues with love. It'll warm you heart. For anyone who loves joyful, unpretentious, but highly creative and spontaneous jazz, Todd Londagin’s new album Look Out For Love will be a delightful discovery. In the company of four longstanding musical cohorts, Todd has assembled a repertoire of 10 songs, culled from the Great American Songbook and popular songs. Bassist Jennifer Vincent and drummer David Berger have been playing with Todd since the early 1990s (all three were original members of the successful ‘90s band, The Flying Neutrinos); while pianist Matt Ray and guitarist Pete Smith have been performing with Todd since 2000. Together, they artfully and lovingly developed each piece like an assortment of delicious dishes combined together for a cohesive feast. As Todd explains, "each tune is an exercise in doing things in a different way." Unabashed swing is definitely a consistent mood throughout the CD.

Guitarist and songwriter, KJ Denhert, calls her music Urban Folk and Jazz. Her voice is powerful, her lyrics full of intelligent insight, and her musicianship is impeccable. Her eclectic yet unified performances reach out to audiences without compromising her music and beliefs. She performs the unusual feat of being both highly individual and quite accessible.

KJ co-produced her CD, Number 9, supported by a strong cadre of players, including longtime band members Mamadou Ba , (Harry Belafonte, Regina Carter) on bass and drummer Ray Levier. Saxophonist, Aaron Heick (Richard Bona, Chaka Khan, and Sting) has remained a regular since his debut on KJ’s 2007 recording Dal Vivo a Umbria Jazz, while balancing a busy schedule that paired him with Sting on the latest recording of “Englishman in New York.”
