Funk Blues and Soul-jazz wtih The JB3 Trio!!!
with Jeremy Baum, Matt Finck, Chris Reddan
Blues, Jazz, and Rock (classic). Soul-Jazz
Rosendale Street Fest
Main Street
Rosendale, NY   See Map
Come out for some soul-jazz and blues with the JB3 Trio. In the tradition of Booker T & the Mgs and the Meters, Jeremy and his cohorts will be bringing the funk to the ArtBar!

With the bad mofo Matt Finck on guitar and ridiculously scary Chris Reddan on drums.

Hang on to your spleens, this is going to be epic.!!!

Jb (Hammond Organ) toured for over 6 years with Grammy nominated singer Shemekia Copeland. With Chris Reddan on drums and Matt Finck on guitar/vocals.

Both traditional and trailblazing...Highly recommended. ***Blues Review Magazine***

Baum's playing has a deep funk to it, with a big influence of Jimmy Smith. And Baum also brings in all kinds of other things as well - dissonant jazz, alternative rock, R&B. He's not too far off from what John Medeski does with Medeski, Martin and Wood, but with more of a blues streak to it. ***Jim Trageser. Escondido, Calif. ***

The firehouse has been meticulously restored to highlight the original brick walls, wood floors and historic grand wooden staircase."

Barth and Wilson both landed in New York within a year of each other in the late 1980s. They met shortly thereafter and have worked together - as members of others' and each other's bands - often since then.

In 2010, they recorded for the first time as a duo. Home:Live in Columbia, Missouri, is the product of a live recorded performance of a house concert produced and released by We Always Swing Jazz Series.

For their performance at the Falcon, they invite two other log-time collaborators, Adam Cruz (who has played in quartets led by both Wilson and Barth) and Doug Weiss.

Peekskill, NY   See Map
Combine Barry White, Teddy Pendergrass and James Brown, and you get LA's signature style - "old school romance" and fiery funk! His unique registry, being a bass/baritone singer, brings passion and fire to the romantic songs that are an important part of his musical experience.

The fervor and spiritual connections felt by his audiences is matched only by his ability to become "one" with his soulful, heart pounding funk. A celebratory aura is seen in his outlook on life and is evident in his performances.

LA has performed with the legendary Intruders as well as on many "Motown Review" assignments. He is currently the bass/ baritone singer and co-founder of "Tradition", a wonderful "classic soul" cover singing group.

LA has been a radio personality on his own "Quite Storm" show on 91.1 WOSS in New York and has been seen in commercials, and on documentaries for public and commercial television.

The Catskill 45s play a rare DANCE PARTY at the Byrdcliffe Barn, Upper Byrdcliffe Road, in Woodstock onFriday, July 26, 2013. Local musicians Robert Burke Warren, Josh Roy Brown, Tony Fletcher and Nancy Howell trade lead vocals, guitars and keyboards, propelled by Mark Lerner on bass and Lukas Lerner on drums.

For the past 5 years, the group has come together for an annual private party to play songs from precisely 45 years earlier. "We started with 1964, now we're up to 1968; it's a wild trip," said bassist Mark Lerner. "We always try to squeeze in one additional public show, usually a benefit."

The July 26 dance party is a reprise of a successful fundraiser the band and the Byrdcliffe Guild put together after Hurricane Irene, which raised over $3,000 for the Phoenicia Rotary's flood relief efforts. All profits from the July 26 show, including food and bar sales, will go toward the Library.

Brooklyn-based songwriter Jason Myles Goss has released his fourth record, Radio Dial, enlisting the help of friends Austin Nevins (guitars) and Sam Kassirer (keys), both members of Josh Ritter's Royal City Band.

Jason is a three-time regional finalist in the Mountain Stage New Song Contest, and his song Twilight Serenade has become a fixture on Pandora and XM satellite radio, as well as one of the top 100 most downloaded songs for singer-songwriters on iTunes in 2010.

"Jason Myles Goss is the kind of musician that I want to keep tabs on…. simply good, like chicken soup is good, like the morning light is good. I'll keep tabs on him because he's a litmus test for what should remain constant in music against the fizzling fads and temporary trends." - Fred Knittel, WXPN

The Flaming Meatballs are two brothers and a girl that love to play the Blues... And they play VERY well.

Brothers George and John Amenta and Leah Nikolaya are The Flaming Meatballs. Performing old-soul songs like House of the Rising Sun, they are Rising Stars.

George has been playing guitar for over 6 years, most recently mastering the nuances of slide guitar. John has been playing drums for over 4 years. Leah joined the group in May 2013 and has brought powerful vocals, original songs and solid bass playing to the band. We first met The Flaming Meatballs at one of our Kids Open Mic Nights, and you'll be as blown away by their talent as we were.

The band's influences include Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jeff Beck, The White Stripes, Lead Belly, Nirvana, Johnny Cash, Sun House, Foo Fighters and Bob Dylan.
