The line up of local bands scheduled to play at the event includes: The Lighthouse, Kurt Henry, The Saints of Swing, Dorraine Scofield and Friends, and Mister Oh!. The highly talented local musicians are donating their time to help support the music and arts in public schools. Poundcake, Teddy Thomson, Jeff Hill , Ethan EubanksThe FALCON
1348 Route 9W
Marlboro, NY   See Map
Poundcake is truly a labor of love, and was born when it was suggested by drummer/singer Ethan Eubanks to singer/guitarist Teddy Thompson that he should think about doing a project between album cycles that would keep him off the streets and out of the bars. Bassist/singer Jeff Hill was the natural and only consideration when it came to a bassist.

Teddy Thompson is the son of folk legends Linda and Richard Thompson and doesn't need to be reminded of that anymore. He has a banging career as a singer-songwriter, and Google him, he has done things, and blah, blah, blah.

Jeff Hill is one of the best bass players on Kent Avenue between Division and South 11th, and has played with Rufus Wainwright, Shooter Jennings, Marshall Crenshaw, and blah, blah, blah.

Ethan Eubanks is considered by himself and his mother to be an amazing studio drummer, and has played on records by Julianna Hatfield, Joseph Arthur, Crash Test Dummies, and blah, blah, blah.

Erica has shared the stage with a variety of local musicians, such as vocalist Machan Taylor, whom she previously studied with. Erica has extended her creativity into the realm of visual arts, showing her work in both the Garrison Art Center and the Beacon Artist's Union, among others.

SMALL TOWN SHEIKS was formed in 2009. Their debut CD "Songs For Parker" is a solid collection ranging from bluesy rockers to socially conscious rhythmic journeys to achingly beautiful ballads. John Irizarry's dynamite guitar and intimate songwriting are musically punctuated by Mike Smith's expressive and original harmonica. The addition of World Percussionist Obi Kaye to the group in 2012 provides a framework for instrumental explorations.

DMB (Dick, Matt, & Bruce) – good friends Dick Vincent, Matt Bowe, and Bruce Hildenbrand playing familiar and not so familiar folk and blues with a bit of a bluegrass twist.

Singer-Songwriter
Towne Crier Cafe
130 Route 22
Pawling, NY   See Map
Returning after a long absence from the Towne Crier's stage, Dean Friedman first marked his entry into pop consciousness with the top 20 chart success of his infectious hit single, Ariel, a quirkily irresistible and uncategorizable pop song about a free spirited, pot-smoking, vegetarian Jewish girl in a peasant blouse who lived, as the lyric goes, "...way on the other side of the Hudson." Friedman scored again with the release of his follow up album, "Well, Well," Said The Rocking Chair, and the now classic hit single, Lucky Stars. Lucky Stars paved the way for a slew of Friedman hits, including familiar radio staples such as Lydia, Rocking Chair, McDonald's Girl and Woman Of Mine. Friedman's latest CD, Submarine Races, has been receiving rave reviews from fans and critics alike, with lyrical soundscapes and story-songs, bursting with life, love and survival in a surreal world.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of The Hey Baby Band. The concept was brought to the stage by Jimmy Ekizian, Hey Baby's remarkable lead singer and trumpet player. Uninspired by the MTV revolution of the '80s, Jimmy launched a band capable of recapturing the magic of the music from the '60s and '70s. R&B, Soul, Funk, Blues and Rock 'n' Roll make up the foundation that keeps the magic alive. "Hey Baby" recreates the music of Otis Redding, James Brown, Wilson Pickett, Van Morrison, Chicago, Sly & The Family Stone, The Beatles, The Doors, Joe Cocker, Santana, The Allman Brothers, War, Elvis Costello and many others -- with a signature sound all their own. Infectious rhythms and dynamic horns keep the crowds dancing to the very last note.

Drew Bordeaux's original tunes weave classic Rock and Blues with today's Pop and Alternative styles to create music that is rich, moving, and relentlessly catchy. NY music reviewer Kevin Johnston wrote, "His guitar work is the real deal... A lot of players have forgotten what the rock solo is for, but Drew knows and he uses it to take the music to a new level. And just to make sure you stay interested, he switches to electric violin."

Join us tonight and every Wednesday for "Burgers & Bordeaux".

A unique Blues Duo!
with Rene Carlson on Blues harp, with special guest guitarist, Geoff Hartwell
Blues, Bluegrass
12 Grapes Music & Wine Bar
12 North Division Street
Peekskill, NY   See Map
Rene Carlson is a rare gem -- a woman of formidable talent on an instrument traditionally dominated by men. Whether grinding out gut-bucket Blues, coaxing the sweetness from old-time Country, delivering high-energy Rock, or playing lightning-speed Bluegrass, she is one of the very few harmonica players equally adept at almost any genre. Rene's honeyed tones and soulful sound have been admired by national harp pros like Phil Wiggins, Curtis Salgado and Annie Raines. Renee has played NYC venues like B.B. King's and Terra Blues, and has shared the stage with Guy Davis, the Campbell Brothers, Debbie Davies, and others.

Renee's unmistakable harp is in high demand among Westchester musicians, but for this engagement she is letting the harp take center stage, supported by Geoff Hartwell, an extraordinary slide guitarist, songwriter and singer in his own right.

Join us for this very special night of Blues.

Marc plays a finger style blues in the traditions of Mississippi Hurt and the great Tim Hardin. He has performed and recorded with Art Garfunkel, Taj Mahal, Richie Haven, Rick Danko and Garth Hudson to name a few. He was named Folk Artist of the Year on ABC Radio’s Fame Games. Marc's 'No Fracking Way', recorded with John Sebastian, Eric Weissberg and a hundred Woodstock, NY citizens has become a worldwide anthem for the movement.

Traum first appeared on record at a historic session in 1962 when folk musicians Bob Dylan, Phil Ochs, Pete Seeger, Peter LaFarge and The Freedom Singers, gathered in the studio at Folkways Records to record an album called Broadside Ballads, Vol. 1. Happy was invited to participate in a famous session with Dylan and poet Allen Ginsberg, which resulted in the box set Holy Soul Jelly Roll.

Perhaps Happy's most important and lasting musical contribution has been Homespun Tapes, which he and his wife, Jane, co-founded in 1967.

People who know Mishti are in awe of her talent. To those who've never seen her perform, take our advice: You should.

Mishti's music has been described as "coasting between a bottom-heavy Zeppelin Rock, Blues-infused grooves, Thelonius Monk-inspired guitar work, and a Nina Simone-style wail-to-whisper." Always looking to cultivate a connection with her audience, she strives to create an experience that grabs listeners emotionally and "by the balls".

Mishti's influences started at a young age. The embrace of Blues gave her the confidence to play and she was determined to inhabit any form of music that came her way.
