Erik is currently a member of Levon Helm's band, with whom he was recently featured on the Grammy winning album Electric Dirt. He has performed Solo improvised saxophone at Carnegie Recital Hall in New York. Erik has been featured at music festivals around the world and has performed with Chico Hamilton, Medeski Martin & Wood, Aaron Neville, Bob Dylan, Buddy Miles, David Bromberg, Bruce Hornsby and many, many others. Erik's teaching includes Williams College, Dartmouth College and Montclair State University. He has been playing the saxophone since he was 5 years old. |

Aaron Nathans has never really written a love song.
This 2011 Kerrville New Folk finalist,a Delaware resident, will yodel about grapefruit, and chant about a heavy metal rocker at his Orthodox Jewish wedding. He rocks out about that girl who shouldn't be wearing Goth clothes anymore, and the curious alchemy that makes an Italian bakery turn out the very best bread on the planet.
Maybe that's love after all: You can hear the joy he takes in crafting a song, in the tradition of Lyle Lovett, Guy Clark and Richard Shindell. He's a polished yet unpretentious performer, with a sweet baritone voice and a signature fingerpicking style. While not exactly a humorist, Nathans inevitably makes you laugh.
He plays solo and as a duo with cellist Michael G. Ronstadt.

 Lucky Peterson was discovered by blues legend Willie Dixon when he was three years old, released his first record at five and soon after appeared on The Tonight Show. Trained by keyboardists Bill Doggett and Jimmy Smith, Peterson went on to play behind Little Milton, Bobby “Blue” Bland and Kenny Neal. On return from the “Young Blues Giants” tour of Europe, he signed first with Alligator, then Verve, Blue Thumb and Birdology/Dreyfus, where he recorded what Amazon.com called “his finest album,” Black Midnight Sun, in 2003. The audience submits titles of "songs that have never been written". In a fictional "backer's audition", these titles inspire improvised songs in act one. In act two, the audience's favorite song serves as the basis of an entire (45 minute) Broadway musical, complete with costumes and set.
The format received a rave review from The New York Times when it premiered in New York in 1995. You ain’t seen nuttin’ like it, folks!

 Woodstock Renaissance, a six-voice a cappella vocal ensemble specializing in early and traditional music, will be singing as part of the “Live at the Library” music series at the Woodstock Library in Woodstock, New York, on Saturday, December 15, 2012, at 7 pm. There is no charge for the performance, but donations to the library are greatly appreciated.
The concert will include Renaissance madrigals and motets from England and Italy, chansons from France, and Appalachian and Celtic traditional songs. There will also be a setting of the chant “Veni veni, Emmanuel” (O come, o come Emmanuel) by the twentieth-century Hungarian composer Zoltán Kodály (1882-1967), and a pastoral piece by César Cui (1835-1918), a Russian composer who was a colleague of both Mussorgsky and Rimsky-Korsakov. Of course, they will be singing music of the season, including songs for Christmas, Hanukkah, and Winter Solstice.

A singer/songwriter of international acclaim, KJ's lyrics are full of insight; her musicianship impeccable. KJ's special blend of "Urban Folk & Jazz" has earned her 4 Independent Music Award nominations and in '09, she was named one of Jazz.com's top female vocalists. Her CD, "Another Year Gone By" won the '06 Independent Music Award, Best Live Performance. KJ has appeared at scores of festivals including the prestigious Umbria Jazz Festival in Italy. She's a frequent performer at clubs in NYC as well as the Baz Bar in St. Bart's. Her latest CD, "Album No.9", is a collection of 60's Jazz, Pop & Rock standards.
KJ has just released a new EP entitles "Destiny". It features 6 new original songs and KJ will be performing them tonight.

Scott Feiner’s musical story is not a common one. Not only is he an American pandeiro player, but he also introduced this Brazilian hand drum to the world of jazz in a highly personal way. In 1999, during his first trip to Brazil, Feiner discovered the pandeiro, the instrument which would become his passion and new means of musical expression. He moved to Rio de Janeiro in 2001 and after only a few years became a respected pandeirista, playing in the traditional settings of Rio. However, it is Feiner’s innovative mixture of the pandeiro with jazz which has set him apart. His first CD with his Pandeiro Jazz project, "Pandeiro Jazz" (2006, Delira Música) received international praise and his second CD, "Dois Mundos" (2008, Biscoito Fino), was nominated for a 2009 Latin Grammy Award.
Lucky Peterson was discovered by blues legend Willie Dixon when he was three years old, released his first record at five and soon after appeared on The Tonight Show. Trained by keyboardists Bill Doggett and Jimmy Smith, Peterson went on to play behind Little Milton, Bobby “Blue” Bland and Kenny Neal. On return from the “Young Blues Giants” tour of Europe, he signed first with Alligator, then Verve, Blue Thumb and Birdology/Dreyfus, where he recorded what Amazon.com called “his finest album,” Black Midnight Sun, in 2003. The New Yorker called him “a master of the guitar, organ and microphone Lucky has since gone on to receive major awards, nominations and high praise around the globe for the recording, and for his re-vamped live show, now featuring his lovely and immensely talented wife Tamara Peterson on vocals.
Rock n’blues power trio , The Jonny Monster Band,featuries Jonny Monster on guitar & vocals, Pete Newman on bass, and Roger LaRochelle on drums. Their debut album with deep roots blues player Husky Burnette, and second, “Bad Times Before” has marked them as a staple in the blues scene. The band’s fresh take has been heard along the Eastern seaborad, opening for Jefferson Starship and guitarist Johnny Winter at The Bearsville Theater in Woodstock, NY and headlining at The Bitter End, and Arlene’s Grocery NYC, Club Helsinki, The Oneonta Theater and The Beale St Taproom, Memphis. Jonny Monster’s aggressive, high-energy style puts the band at the head of the future of rock n’ blues. 
Our once-monthly Open Mics (2nd Thurs) are mainly Acoustic, but most styles of music are welcome. All talented artists are invited to take the stage and enjoy one of the most talked about music venues in Westchester. Hosted tonight by singer/songwriter Jess Erick.
