Acoustic
Taste Budd's Chocolate and Coffee Cafe
40 West Market Street
Red Hook, NY   See Map
Jeff Entin and Bob Blum met in a mental hospital in 1972, where they were both aides. Discovering that playing music together was much more fun and rewarding, they have been at it ever since. Influenced by everything they heard, they play a wide variety of music with an almost infinite song list including many originals, with a bit of jam band attitude thrown in. When the venue calls for it, they expand to include drums and/or keys. The emphasis is on fun for both Jeff and Bob and the audience, with familiar, obscure, and original tunes and jams making the show.

New City Volunteer Ambulance Corps
200 - Congers Road
New City, NY   See Map
For this special occasion we have brought in Linda McRae, a phenomenal singer/songwriter all the way from British Columbia in western Canada. Linda is also a multi instrumentalist and has numerous musical talents. Her lyrics are honest, penetrating, witty, and can also be funny at times. They are played in a unique style that can be described as folky with a tinge of bluegrass. Recently she has followed in the steps of the late, great, Johnny Cash and played a gig at California's famous Folsom Prison. She will have a lot of interesting stories to tell about that performance. Opening the show will be singer/songwriter Pat Lamanna from Poughkeepsie, NY. Pat has been a regular performer throughout the Hudson Valley for many years and is a member of the Beacon Sloop Club. She writes songs about everyday life and modern day social issues. You will enjoy her immensely. Bring a cold pot luck dessert dish to share with 4 people. solz1@optonline.net or (845)-354-4586

Il Volo: In May 2009, these three fresh-faced teenagers, Piero Barone (17), Ignazio Boschetto (16), and Gianluca Ginoble (16), appeared on the popular Italian talent show "Ti Lascio Una Canzone" and dazzled television viewers with their flawless rendition of the Neapolitan standard "O Sole Mio." The boys, who won the competition easily, decided their group needed a name. "Il Volo," meaning "flight," was chosen to signify the feeling that these three young tenors were about to spread their wings and fly.

201 S. Division Street @ Esther
Peekskill, NY   See Map
Combine Barry White, Teddy Pendergrass and James Brown, and you get LA's signature style - "old school romance" and fiery funk! His unique registry, being a bass/baritone singer, brings passion and fire to the romantic songs that are an important part of his musical experience.

The fervor and spiritual connections felt by his audiences is matched only by his ability to become "one" with his soulful, heart pounding funk. A celebratory aura is seen in his outlook on life and is evident in his performances.

LA has performed with the legendary Intruders as well as on many "Motown Review" assignments. He is currently the bass/ baritone singer and co-founder of "Tradition", a wonderful "classic soul" cover singing group.

LA has been a radio personality on his own "Quite Storm" show on 91.1 WOSS in New York and has been seen in commercials, and on documentaries for public and commercial television.

This is a very special show in memory of a very special person, one Wendell Hoff, who passed away earlier this year. Wendell was very kind and supportive to me, incredibly generous, and very honest and direct. I will always be grateful for his support and friendship. (He's the reason there is a Lullabies for Big Babies CD, since the record was made entirely at his request.)

He had mentioned to me the last time I saw him that he had wanted to host a concert, perhaps a house concert or something like that, and he hoped I'd be willing to perform at it along with some other folks he had in mind. But, of course I would!

Now, his son Jesse would like to move forward with Wendell's vision, and I am delighted and honored to be able to participate in this. It is a free event.

He has recorded and toured both as a solo artist and sideman with major artists like Dr.John, Blood, Sweat and Tears, Diane Schuur, David Mann, Billy Vera, Bobby Caldwell and Toni Braxton, to name a few. Gil frequently performs with Yankee outfielder (and guitarist) Bernie Williams and has shared the stage with Paul Shaffer and trumpet legend Randy Brecker.
