The Hudson Valley Folk Guild's Friends of Fiddler's Green Chapter will be presenting
a very special 100th Birthday Tribute to Woody Guthrie on Friday, June 8th at 8pm.
The concert will be held at the Hyde Park United Methodist Church, Rt. 9 and Church Street in Hyde Park, NY 12538.

The program will be a spirited celebration of Woody Guthrie’s legendary creative works in story and song. Some of the Hudson Valley’s most popular performers will be featured in this concert including Dan Aguiar, Linda Breithaupt, Lyn Burnstine, Pat Lamanna, Bob Lusk, Jane March, Blair Shepard and Frank Tetler. The program will feature a great many sing-a-longs to which the audience will invited to join in. It will be an evening of tribute, songs and will be a truly delightful evening of entertainment.

On Saturday, June 11th, St. John’s Episcopal Church, 207 Albany Ave., will be holding its 36th annual Summer Fair, Chicken and Rib BBQ, and Silent Auction. Admission is free. The Fair runs from 9AM to 6:30PM with many activities for young and old alike. There will be live music featuring Kingston H. S. Jazz Ensemble 10am - 11am Big Joe Fitz solo 11am - 12pm Glory Road 12pm - 1pm Paul Maloney solo 1pm - 2pm Brooks’ BBQ of Oneonta will be serving Chicken & Rib BBQ dinners from 3PM until 6:30PM with takeouts available. A silent auction that will raise funds for Angel Food East will be held from Noon to 5PM in St. John’s. Parish Hall. Angel Food East, which delivers hot meals to Ulster County men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS, will receive 10 percent of the proceeds.
