Kairos: A Consort of Singers, under the direction of Edward Lundergan, presents the second in its 2012 Bach Cantata series with a performance of J. S. Bach’s Cantata No. 44, Sie werden euch in den Bann tun. The service will also feature a performance by Kairos of the motet “Ascendit Deus” by Baroque English composer Peter Philips, and an orchestral meditation performed by violinist Rhonni Hallman. The cantata is accompanied by chamber orchestra and will be performed as part of a choral evensong service.The performance is part of an ongoing Bach Cantata series presented by Kairos at Holy Cross Monastery and is the first in the 2012 Bach Cantata Series, now in its seventh year. | Sarah's music is a combination of soft folk and Top 40 Pop with a classical twist. With soaring melodies and intimate lyrics, it is both relaxing and uplifting. Her music sounds similar to Jewel, Joni Mitchell, Sarah McLaughlin, and Christina Perri. Sarah started singing in children's choirs from an early age, She studied voice at the Boston University Tanglewood summer program. Sarah discovered her love of songwriting when she was given a songwriting assignment while attending a music class at Simon's Rock College. A graduate of Berklee College of Music with a degree in songwriting, Sarah brings her classical background to her songs with rich and moving vocals. | ||

"Richie Goods is a master musician whose tenure with many of music's greatest names clearly has worn off on him..." One of the most versatile and accomplished bass players on the scene, Richie who hales from Pittsburgh, graduated from the prestigious jazz program at Berklee College and studied with such luminaries as Ron Carter and Ray Brown. Richie has recorded and toured with a variety of jazz and popular artists including the Headhunters, Louis Hayes and the Cannonball Adderley Legacy Band, Lenny White, Mulgrew Miller, Whitney Houston, and Christina Aguilera to name a few. He is currently touring with trumpeter Chris Botti. Richie's brainchild, Nuclear Fusion, just back from their April European tour, features the legendary Mike Clark (of the original Headhunters) on drums, Tom Guarna on guitar, Danny Grissett on keyboards and of course Richie Goods on Bass. Marc Black is an eclectic folk-rocker who sings about Rachel Maddow, good coffee and just about everything in between. His most recent CD, ‘Pictures of the Highway, was #34 for the year and one tune reached #6 on the Folk DJ Chart. His No Fracking Way has become an anthem for the anti-fracking movement and has been sung at rallies as far away as Ireland and Australia. He was a finalist in Kerrville’s ‘New Folk’ competition. And just a few months ago he was recognized by Music2Life as an artist who is ‘making a difference’.
