DAPHNE'S BACK!!
with Daphne Willis
Singer-Songwriter
12 Grapes Music & Wine Bar
12 North Division Street
Peekskill, NY   See Map
Sometimes an artist comes along and stops you in your tracks. That's what it was like the first time we heard Daphne. We've loved her--and her music--ever since. Songs like "I Will Be Waiting", "Weatherman" and "Do What You Want" keep us coming back for more. Critics call her latest CD "the defining work of a young artist who matters."

Daphne is, no doubt, a young artist who matters. Her song "Sad" was recently featured on an episode of One Tree Hill on the CW Network. And in January, she performed at the prestigious 30A Songwriters Festival in FL where she performed a song with John Oats (Hall & Oats). One reviewer wrote she was his "favorite new artist" at the show.

Early in her career, Willis was being compared to a young Rickie Lee Jones and a female Jack Johnson. Soon, other artists will be compared to Daphne Willis.

We're honored that 12 Grapes is a stop on Daphne's national tour. Daph... we'll leave the light on.

Steve's been singing and playing guitar since he was knee high to a Gibson J-200. He studied acting while attending NYU and studied with Robert Perillo and Stella Adler among others. He performed Off Off Off Off Broadway, in Houston Texas, in Myrtle Beach South Carolina, all the while carrying a guitar and note pad, scribbling lyrics, scratching them out, scribbling new ones.

In 1998, after a twenty year gestation period, the songs started to come. 2003 found Steve a Kerrville New Folk finalist. In 2005 his song "This Old Town" received honorable mention from the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival. He began recording his debut C.D. with friend, mentor and producer Fred Gillen, Jr. in early 2006, which was completed in early 2007 and released in September of that year to good airplay on many folk radio programs. He has showcased at Northeast Regional Folk Alliance in New York.

Acoustic. Americlectic
High Falls Cafe
Berme Rd.
High Falls, NY   See Map
Jeff Entin & Bob Blum are in residence at the High Falls Cafe doing something we're calling the Friday Night Jams. What does that mean, you may ask? Allow me to enlighten you... Jeff & Bob, who have been playing together since before the term Jam Band was coined, will be playing and hosting something a little more experimental than the usual fare. They'll be doing their usual unusual thing, but with a guest or two sitting in, not to play their usual stuff, but to see what happens through the magic of Jamming! So... every second Friday of each month they will be here, along with who knows who, sitting in with them, taking musical chances and casting their collective fates to the wind. 8PM!

Jeff Entin is a Rosendale resident who's been writing and performing all his life, mostly with Bob Blum, bassist extraordinare. They are best known for their genial stage presence, highly accomplished musicianship, improvisation, song writing, and their unique app

1665 RTE 211 EAST
Middletown, NY   See Map
Brian Fitzpatrick back in October of 2001. He had traveled to CT in support of a friend and fellow musician I’d come quite a distance to see myself. I had heard of Brian months before, via a fan so convinced of his musical excellence he actually gave me (a complete stranger, mind you) both Fitzpatrick albums that had been released to date…discs that clearly evidenced an ability for songwriting. But it wasn’t until this much later opportunity to hear him live that I fully began to grasp the depth of Brian’s talents. Songs like “I Can’t Be Your Savior” from his 1998 debut album, Other Side and “Caroline” from its 2000 follow-up When I Bleed, took on a whole new life when witnessed in their purest communicative form – merely voice, guitar and the spirit behind the compositions permitted to touch audience . Blues Underground Network writes, "Tommy doesn't ask you politely to get up and dance... once you hear his music, it will tear you off your seat and point your feet towards your best dancin' shoes."

Blues Buddha was a finalist for The NY Blues and Jazz Society IBC Battle of the Bands in 2010. The band includes Chip Lairson on guitar (who's performed with notable performers such as Dr. John, Maria Muldauer, Buddy Miles and more), Al Payson on bass (Grammy winner on his work with Jose Feliciano), Joe Piteo on drums and Pete Dehoff on keys.

Although a blur to some, the nineties will always be known as the decade the world became a smaller place. Cell phones, e-mail, and .com address were just a few of the things that changed the way we all live today. Along with this new “digital age” came a sincere, heart felt form of music from Seattle known as Grunge. Unlike their predecessors of the late 80’s, bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Rage Against The Machine, & Soundgarden began writing darker/ heavier music filled with angst and pain, an influence that can still be heard in many modern rock bands today. At the top of the list is Alice In Chains. Known for their patented harmony vocals, big guitars, and haunting melodies there is no band more qualified to represent this decade of lost souls.

"Iloveyou Iloveyou Iloveyou Iloveyou," is dedicated to Amy's late husband, TERENCE MARTIN, esteemed singersongwriter, published poet, beloved literature teacher and celebrated recording artist, who passed away on November 7, 2011 (in Amy's & their childrens' arms), after a sudden, fearless and bold three-month battle with pancreatic cancer.
