As we said before...We know times are getting tough and the only way to escape the doldrums of life's morbid rat race is to come out and party. And who better with than us. We'll make you jump, shout, laugh, scream, dance, and whatever other form of hysteria you wish to exhibit to let it all out. No need feel embarrassed. We'll be doing it right along with you. As the band Slade used to sing back in the 70's, "Mama, mama we're all crazy now!" And if one thing we've all experienced, crazy folk know how to have a good time. So come join us. You won't regret it and we sure won't.

On the second Friday of each month, Jeff Entin & Bob Blum are in residence at the High Falls Cafe doing something we're calling the Friday Night Jams. What does that mean, you may ask? Allow me to enlighten you... Jeff & Bob, who have been playing together since before the term Jam Band was coined, will be playing and hosting something a little more experimental than the usual fare. They'll be doing their usual unusual thing, but with a guest or two sitting in, not to play their usual stuff, but to see what happens through the magic of Jamming! So... every second Friday of each month they will be here, along with who knows who, sitting in with them, taking musical chances and casting their collective fates to the wind. 8PM!

The Kenn Morr Band
Acoustic
Taste Budd's Chocolate and Coffe Cafe
40 West Market Street
Red Hook, NY   See Map
Kenn’s gifts to the rest of us are his songs, which push boundaries while recalling a time when the world was a simpler place. His music has a dreamy, simple quality that harkens back to a time when American music and life was less complicated yet just as strongly felt.

Bob Dylan’s brand of acoustic rock is referenced by Kenn’s low persuasive tones, and traces of John Mellencamp are recognizable in the songs’ heartfelt quality and accessibility. The lyrics address universal themes such as love, fear, cautiousness and curiosity and speak to everyman. Even Kenn’s newest songs feel like they’ve existed forever and embody the time transcending quality of art that is truly organic.

Acoustic
BeanRunner Cafe
201 S. Division Street @ Esther
Peekskill, NY   See Map
Schreiber-Noll is a deeply committed advocate for Peace. Her work traces its roots back to the passionate writings of Bertolt Brecht and others, who spoke for the rights of the downtrodden. "Only History Remains," depicts the terrors of War and the threat of ecological disaster. She creates densely painted surfaces with the addition of collage elements: wire, wood, photos and books that give a strong sense of physical presence. While her work is less concerned with beauty than with ideas, it transmits an undeniable sense of poetry and lyricism.

Ilse Schreiber-Noll was born in Germany and studied at the University of Marburg, Germany. She moved to the United States to study Woodcut and The Art of the Book with Antonio Frasconi at Purchase Collage SUNY, Purchase NY. There she received her MFA in 1989 and stayed on to teach The Art of the Book until 2009.

The artist's reception are free and open to the public.

The Fred Savages is "a band that plays both types of party music--80's Rock and 80's Rock". Songs from Peter Gabriel, Ozzie Ozborne, Billy Idol, The Police, The Cars, U2, The Stray Cats and more.

NY music reviewer Kevin Johnston wrote this about Drew: "His guitar work is the real deal... A lot of players have forgotten what the rock solo is for, but Drew knows and he uses it to take the music to a new level." Geoff Hartwell is one of the Hudson Valley's leading slide guitarists, who often performs with rock icons such as Sonny Landreth, and tours with Andy Aledort and Grammy winner Yonrico Scott. Jessica Smucker writes what could be considered "dark pop" songs: catchy melodies in minor keys, lyrics that masterfully infuse sad stories with tiny flecks of humor and hope. She performs in diverse configurations and contexts, but her songs have a consistent melodic edge. "Woven with a sort of defiant sadness, a square-jawed resilience" (Fly Magazine), her compositions often start down a familiar road but, through a series of subtle twists and curves, deliver the listener to an unexpected destination.

Marc Von Em's new CD release has created quite a buzz, and our Fri, March 9 "Dinner & Show" quickly sold out, so we've added a second performance tonight.

CRASH BOOM POW is Marc's 4th studio recording and features guest artists KJ Denhert, Todd Giudice, Andrew Bordeaux & others. Marc will be performing with a full band tonight. Musicians who contributed to the new CD will appear as his live ensemble, along with special guests.

Marc's sound is rooted in Blues, Folk, Rock and Reggae. He's toured nationally and internationally with the Rob Thomas Band. Rob remarked, "I asked him to open up a 10,000 seat gig. Just him, his guitar, and his songs. He killed it!" Marc has shared bills with Lucy Kaplansky, Martin Sexton, Richie Havens and others. One reviewer writes: "... I can genuinely say if you haven't heard or seen him live, you are only cheating yourself."
