Over the years, Young has been a guiding light to performers and listeners alike due to the truthfulness and nerve he brings to his songwriting, as well as the tenderness and vulnerability he exposes in himself. He has continually explored new musical territory ... from rockabilly and the blues, to electronic music to hard rocking anthems ... that has served as the soundtrack of many of our lives over the years. On Sunday night, that restless spirit will be on display thanks to the efforts of: Kyle Esposito, Julie Last, George Quinn Ross Rice,Robert B. Warren, Leslie Ritter, Charles Lyonhart, John Milward & Manuel Quintana.

23 White Oak Drive
Chester, NY   See Map
This is a beautiful and unique way to support a very underserved segment of the community. As hard as our local farmers have been hit by the storms of late summer and early fall (i.e., Irene, Lee, and Mr Frosty), the farmworker community has been hit at least that hard, and to our knowledge there really has not been much of any kind of mechanism to provide them with the basic help they need, namely just to feed their families.

Here's a way ~ a lovely and delicious way ~ you can help. Come to the Seligmann Gallery/Studio, buy a beautiful hand-made bowl for a mere $10 (or even more, if you can swing it), get that bowl filled with some delicious, donated, home-made soup, and listen to some delicious, donated live music.

You'll be so glad you did.

Proceeds go directly to the Alamo Farmworkers' Food Pantry.

Thank you!

High Atmosphere, the third album in the remarkable career arc of singer-songwriter Diana Jones, hits with the force of a revelation, further deepening an unprecedented body of work that began in 2006 with My Remembrance of You and continued with 2009’s Better Times Will Come. On her new release (due out in April on Proper Records), recorded entirely live with simpatico musicians at Quad studios in Nashville, this single-minded artist continues to hew to an austere, plainspoken aesthetic, yet its timelessly homespun frameworks are embedded with distinctly topical subject matter. As Bill Friskics-Warren so aptly pointed out in his New York Times profile, Jones “approaches the mountain-ballad tradition not as a curiosity or antique but as a renewable vernacular that’s just as capable of speaking to the human condition now as it was 80 years ago.”
