WORKSHOP- Healing Thru the Voice:Becoming an Instrument of Joy & Peace
with Danielle Woerner, and you!

Sage Center for the Healing Arts
6 Deming Street, off Mill Hill Road (Rt 212)
Woodstock, NY   See Map
It could be said that to free our voices is to contribute to peace in the world. When we sing & speak, the vibrations we create travel through our own bodies & energetic fields, creating harmony or disharmony. They travel outward--perhaps forever--doing the same. The more relaxed & open our voices are, the more freely we vibrate, like tuning forks, to higher, more harmonious frequencies. AND the more fun & confidence we have!

Singing can feel as natural as breathing, but many of us experience our voices as blocked, weak, or somehow not reflecting who we really are. Sometimes that even creates an inner dissonance: it can be hard to love an instrument that "identifies" us to our world, yet doesn't seem to reflect our deepest nature or intention.

In this workshop we’ll use simple voice & breathing exercises, toning & singing to free our voices. Each person's contribution will help everyone else in the circle. For speakers & singers of all levels & experience. Shy ones welcome!
$20 at door. Please reserve your place! (Above)

I love the Rosendale Cafe; they present world-class musicians and it's one of the few places I can go where I can order most anything they have on their menu!

What this is. Lifted from their site: "The Rosendale Cafe has been bringing notable performances to the area for 16 years. This more humble opportunity for local performances started with a very successful run of the Community Music Night, and the series has run on and off since fall 2007.

"The showcase has been a performance opportunity for both newly-established artists, and those that were outside the musical style of the Cafe's usual weekend bookings."

The format received a rave review from The New York Times when it premiered in New York in 1995. You ain’t seen nuttin’ like it, folks!

One of the most versatile musicians around, Petey Hop is equally at home playing down home Blues, Folk, Country and Rockabilly as he is jamming out with blistering Rock and Roll. Tonight, Petey Hop & the Jackrabbits will be performing some of your favorite Rock standards as well as Pete's phenomenal original songs. Petey's originals are powerfully written, musically intriguing and downright fun to listen to. Songs like "Mountain", "GI Blues" and our favorite, "Talk".

Petey Hop & The Jackrabbits features Mike Severino on drums, Phil Caron on bass and special guest, slide guitarist extraordinaire, Geoff Hartwell. This is gonna be one heck of a night!
