Come and visit the country store and taste their homemade pastries, sit at the pavilion and listen to the live music, or show your children the different animals they care for at the farm. They always have plenty of different events and activities planned each weekend, so stay tuned for updates on our website.

Whether you plan to stay the whole day or are just stopping by, Barton Orchards is an excellent place for the family to visit. we encourage you to head to the Town of Beekman and see for yourself what makes Barton Orchards one of the premier destinations in the Hudson Valley.

This is our only apperance at the farm this year. A great place to bring the kids.

"Art, poetry and music inspire hope. Hope then inspires the creation of art in turn. Life and nature, and humanity with it, are intertwined with this notion. For art, poetry & music are the products of love. And it's all around us. We share the music we create only to bring people closer to us and closer to each other. We're all in this together so we may as well open an ear and hear where we're all coming from. I'm always open to hear a new story." - Daniel "Whether Im playing for people or with people, music is about sharing. Especially, though, when I'm experimenting with a song, or even developing one, with other people. Its very fulfilling to experientially share music with others that way. The connection with people that I've found in music I haven't found with anything else. For me, playing music with other people is an elemental form of being, but, its also an expansive form of being." Elisabeth

John Lennon Imagined: Beatles & Solo Years
with The Nu-Utopians
Pop/Soft Rock, Rock (classic)
Turning Point Cafe
468 Piermont Ave
Piermont, NY   See Map
One of the most unique and compelling interpretations of the late music icon's compositions comes from 7-piece ensemble The Nu-Utopians (formerly The John Lennon Song Project). The thoughtfully re-imagined tribute celebrates the genius and artistry of the icon's music.

Created and led by Rex Fowler of Aztec Two-Step and Tom Dean of Devonsquare, the band's live show featuring entertaining storytelling, and like their CD Imagined, superb lead singing and 3-part harmonies, plus a host of accomplished musicians on acoustic, electric and bass guitars, cello, violin, mandolin, accordion, chromatic harmonica and light percussion.

Concert goers will be treated to exquisite renditions of Lennon's legendary Beatles songs, as well as from his solo years, often weaving melody, lyric and song together in a series of singles and mini-medleys. These tunes are given surprisingly fresh treatments that often inspire a whole new appreciation for Lennon’s original lyrics.

201 S. Division Street @ Esther
Peekskill, NY   See Map
A quirky blend of personalities and musical influences, the Ya Yas toured 3 years with Dave Isaacs' country-roots band Jackalope Junction, and now call the Hudson Valley their home, where they are hard at work on their second album.

Seeing these three perform is like spending an evening with them in their living room - inviting, entertaining, and a little goofy. Their songs can range in feel from folk-pop to country-tinged to singer-songwriter-with-groove. What remains constant are well-crafted songs with deceptively simple lyrics about people you feel you might know, people who view themselves and the world with both honesty and compassion.

Oliver, a fellow Kerrville Folk Festival New Folk Finalist, is an active contributor to the acoustic and Americana music scene in the Baltimore-DC area, and the host of WLOY radio’s “The Mobtown Couch” since 2005.

The Woods Tea Company is an acoustic group performing Celtic tunes, Novelty, French-Canadian, and American folk songs with equal ease and skill.

All members are fine vocalists, often leaving audiences thrilled by their wonderful harmonies. During a performance the band uses as many as a dozen different instruments.

After building a solid reputation in New England, Woods Tea Company started touring on the concert circuit nationwide, eventually playing in all the lower 48 states. Notable performances include New York's Lincoln Center (twice), the Chautauqua Institute (three times), and appearances on PBS and National Public Radio, who labeled them "Vermont's hardest working folk group."

Henry Purcell's "King Arthur"
with Kairos: A Consort of Singers
Classical/Opera
Christ Episcopal Church
20 Carroll Street
Poughkeepsie, NY   See Map
Kairos: A Consort of Singers, under the direction of Edward Lundergan, presents a concert version of English Baroque composer Henry Purcell's 1691 semi-opera King Arthur, with full orchestra. This whimsical tale centers around Arthur's endeavors to rescue his fiancée, the blind Cornish princess Emmeline, who has been abducted by his arch-enemy, the Saxon king Oswald of Kent. It is a delightful and humorous work, and contains some of Purcell's most lyrical music, much of it inspired by French dance rhythms and adventurous (for the day) harmonies.

As was common in English semi-opera during the Baroque era, there were spoken as well as sung parts, and the performance will also feature a delightful narration of the story by professional actor and singer David Rodriguez.

The concert will also be performed on Sunday, November 6 at 4PM at Holy Cross Monastery, Route 9W, West Park, NY.

The Chris O'Leary Band just won The 2011 Blues Blast Awards for New Artist Debut Release for their CD "Mr. Used To Be". The band performed live on WGLT Blues radio. They were also a finalist at the 32nd Annual Blues Music Awards in Memphis for Best New Artist Debut.

We're not surprised. Chris O'Leary is one of the Hudson Valley's hottest Blues harp players, and his band is made up of seasoned Blues musicians, including "scorching" blues guitarist Chris Vitarello, Sean McCarthy on drums, Willa McCarthy on vocals, Frankie Ingrao on bass, and Andy Stahl and Chris DiFrancesco on sax. The band's powerful, horn-driven sets are marked by O'Leary wailing on harmonica.

Chris O'Leary was the lead singer and front man for Levon Helm for over 7 years, and has performed with The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Jimmy Vivino, Dave Maxwell and many others. If you love great Blues, don't miss this night!
