In today's music scene there are hundreds of talented guitarists vying for the brass ring, and there are many, many great players out there. But there are very few with the heart and soul of Bobby Kyle. Blunt and to the point, Bobby's singular stylings resonate with maturity, talent and inspiration, bringing us a genesis of contemporary music that is characteristically all his own. Bobby was backing up Bill Dicey by the late seventies, and the pair later became a duo. In the early eighties, Bobby joined the house band at the Stuffed Pepper, a Tampa Bay blues mecca. There he worked with such luminaries as James Peterson, Johnny Shines, Raful Neal, Mary McClain Smith, and Tabby Thomas. In 1984 Handy Award winner Eddie Kirkland invited Bobby to join his band. After six years with Eddie, Bobby joined the band of Grammy Award winner Johnny "Clyde" Copeland. Bobby performed with this legendary Texas bluesman on major-label recordings NO COVER CHARGE!!!!! ![]() Sunday 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm | Unplugged Sunday with The Knox Sisters Acoustic | 12 Grapes Music & Wine Bar 12 North Division Street Peekskill, NY See Map |
Twelve- and ten-year-old Hailey and Samantha Knox are two young, up-and-coming acoustic artists. With Hailey on guitar and vocals, and her sister Samantha on cajon drum, The Knox Sisters have been knocking out audiences all over the Hudson Valley. We first met the girls at one of our Kids' Open Mic Nights and were instantly hooked. Hailey was in her first talent show at the age of seven where she performed Christina Aguilera's Beautiful and wowed the audience with her little but very "mature" voice. Recently, she tied first place at the Towne Crier's open mic finals and won a scholarship for voice at Seven Stars School of performing art. This past year her sister Samantha climbed aboard and she has learned to play the guitar, cajon drum and most recently the bongo. The duo recently performed on a local internet radio show. We look forward to having The Knox Sisters return to our stage. Come help us welcome them. They put on one heck of a show. **Free Admission** | ||
