Under their banner, "Forward With Scotland's Past," Battlefield Band have been performing on the international scene for four decades, inspired by their rich heritage of Celtic music and fired by the strength of the modern Scottish cultural scene. The band, who pioneered the integration of bagpipes with fiddle, keyboards, guitar and voice, mix the old songs and tunes with new self-penned material, playing them on a unique fusion of ancient and modern instruments: bagpipes, fiddles, guitars, cittern, bass, keyboards, whistles, and bouzouki. This is the band that others have been measuring themselves against for decades, with some of the best talent in Scottish music. In 2003, the Battlefield Band was honored with the very first Best Live Act award at the inaugural Scots Trad Music Awards. Over the years new members have brought with them new ideas, new music, new instruments, attitudes and influences, leading to continued creativity, freshness and enthusiasm. Keegan Ales is glad to welcome “The Pinstripes” who are trekking here all the way from Cincinnati, Ohio. The Pinstripes don’t merely play Ska and Reggae — they inhabit the sound like it’s a ramshackle house that’s keeping them alive. Tight but never slick, fun but never goofy, intense but never serious, The Pinstripes (a hard-touring band with a hard-won following) combine Ska, Reggae, Dub and Soul to create something that’s genuinely lacking in a great deal of contemporary music: joy. Buried in Blue is one of the BEST party bands in the county... lead guitarist Tom Dowd is known for his lightning-fast guitar work, clear, soaring vocals and fresh, compelling arrangements that span Rock, Blues, R&B and Pop classics. The band features the inimitable Tom Dowd on vocals and lead guitar (and this man can PLAY guitar!), Jaynie "Blonde Thunder" D'Agostino on percussion, Pete McGregor on drums, Barry "Buzzy" Garriola on bass and Kevin McSweeney rhythm guitar, who provides the unshakable and perfectly-chosen solos that make each song a new classic. As one reviewer writes: "If you want to catch an incredible live performance of Classic Rock, Pop and Blues with pitch-perfect vocals, powerful drums, and some hot Hendrix-style guitar, see these guys soon....Buried in Blue is buried in talent." DInner reservations highly recommended as this band packs the house (and the dance floor!) **$5 Entertainment Fee for all, including diners**

Sunday 6:15 pm to 8:45 pm | Acoustic Funk / Organic Pop with WeMustBe Acoustic, Singer-Songwriter | 12 Grapes Music & Wine Bar 12 North Division Street Peekskill, NY See Map |
The first time they performed here, we were blown away. We play their CD on our house stereo, and people constantly ask us who they are. We must be falling in love with WeMustBe. Singer Christine Dominguez co-authored this year's Grammy nominated hit song "Airplanes" by B.o.B and is collaborating with artists and producers in the Hip Hop/Urban community where her distinct and soulful vocals are in demand. T. Xiques started gigging as a drummer at age 15 and tours across the US, Canada, Europe and Malaysia with artists like Savoy Brown, Dr.Know and Daryl Jenifer (Bad Brains), Colin Hay and Brother, among others. They call their sound "Organic Pop", a sound they created with their soulful vocals and an assortment of instruments, from piano and acoustic guitar to 5-string bass and cajon drum. We're really looking forward to the return of WeMustBe. **Free Admission** Listen on youtube.com

Manhattan Transfer meets Monty Python...Robin Williams meets Bobby McFerrin...J.S. This original "band without instruments" has been skewering the classics, breaking all the rules and clear-cutting their own unique path in the world of vocal music for over 25 years, playing everywhere from Lincoln Center to Berlin's Passionkirche. To quote one reviewer, "...the Bobs still shine, breaking new ground each time they tunnel out of the sanitorium. The twin keys to the group's creative safe deposit box are unflagging dedication to vocal excellence and utter disregard for everything else." More info at the Towne Crier Cafe
