 The group features some of the community’s most respected musicians, and performs regularly in the New York tri-state area; venues range from local clubs and cafes to outdoor festivals. Fronting the band with a vocal style that has been compared to Aretha Franklin’s is Rhonda Dene’t. On keyboards is the legendary Jon Cobert, a five-time Grammy-nominated musician who was, most famously, in John Lennon’s band during the 1970’s; more recently Jon has performed with Bruce Springsteen and Dave Matthews. On guitar and vocals is Chris Fox, who has opened for nationally-known acts in Manhattan such as Dave Crosby. Chris also writes the band’s original songs. On bass is Tony Tino, who has toured and recorded with Gavin DeGraw, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, Clay Aiken, Ronnie Spector, and many others. On drums is Denny McDermott who has toured with David Johansen and recorded with Donald Fagen of Steely Dan. |

 This Old Ghost is a 5-piece pop-folk group from Westchester, NY. The band is made up of Ian McGuinness (Lead Vocals & Guitar), Karri Diomede (Lead Vocals & Flute), Ryan Sniffen (Guitar & Vocals), Rob Pizzolato (Drums) and Brendan Coughlin (Bass). The group formed in late December of 2010 when McGuinness decided to move back to NY from California where he had spent a year and a half exploring other creative endeavors. Within a week of McGuinness’ return, the band had already started working on and arranging demos. This Old Ghost is currently gearing up to record their debut EP in May with friend and engineer Eliot Gellar of Gellar Cellar Studios in Mahopac, NY. The group is hoping for a late summer release and plans to make their currently untitled EP downloadable for free.

Danielle and Barbara will perform refreshing classical and contemporary songs in English, French and Brazilian by Villa-Lobos (the Bachianas Brasileiras #5 - both movements, not just the famous vocalise Aria), Faure, and American composers Robert Baksa, Ned Rorem, Aurora Northland and Danielle Woerner. Houston Jones features the highwire left-handed upside down guitar wizardry of former Waybacks and Hearts on Fire guitarist Glenn Houston and the whiskey-cured honky tonk vocals of Louisiana-born Travis Jones.  The Johnny Boots Band is one of the areas most talented Blues-infused bands. They perform original music and classic songs from Freddie, BB King, Howlin' Wolf, Guitar Slim and Johnny Winter to SRV, JLV, Jimi Hendrix and beyond.
The band features guitar slinger and singer/songwriter Johnny "Boots" Giannicchi. Johnny has played with internationally recognized blues greats like Buddy Guy, Johnny "Clyde" and daughter Shemekia Copeland, Tab Benoit, Hook Herrera, Mason Casey, Innersole as well as local artists like Chris Cross, Joe Taino and the Blue Flames and David Kolker, among others.
Peter Bennett (bass) has toured the US, making TV & stage appearances with The Temptations, Smokie Robertson, Jose Feliciano, America and many more. Darro "Sparkie" Sandler (drums) has performed with Jimmy and Jerry Vivino (Conan O'Brian), Joey Leone (Wilson Pickett) and other notable artists. These guys are "bad-ass"!

The workshop will be open to all who are interested regardless of musical experience, from those who are being exposed to harmonic singing for the first time to experienced practitioners who wish to immerse themselves at a deeper level. While the core of the workshop will be grounded in an earthy, practical approach to the voice, and in experiencing some of the more striking phenomena at the root of harmony, we will also discuss the simple yet profound mathematics of the overtone series and the foundation it provides for a deeper understanding of music. In addition, we will touch briefly on the light that a knowledge of harmonic singing sheds on the roots of language; correspondences with contemporary science; harmonic chant and listening as meditation; and its use in healing.

 Born into a family of Romani gypsies, in 1910, Django Reinhardt invented an entirely new style of jazz guitar technique (sometimes called Gypsy Jazz) that has since become a living musical tradition within French gypsy culture.
The Gypsy Jazz tradition is being upheld and updated by a lively trio called Le Pompe Attack with two-time Grammy nominee, jazz guitar legend Doug Munro, veteran player Ernie Pugliese and jazz and Broadway veteran bassist Michael Goetz. This group of musicians are serious about their dedication to preserving and advancing this exciting style of music. Le Pompe Attack plays the music of Django Reinhardt as well as Gypsy interpretations of standard jazz and popular music. They also compose and perform their own original compositions.
With sold out shows being the norm, Le Pompe Attack is living testimony to the public’s appetite for this lively and passionate style of music.

Dave was often the accompanist for folk music legend Odetta during the final decade of her career and has worked with a who's who of roots music legends including Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Ruth Brown, Tracy Nelson and many more. For 6 years Dave was the conductor for the smash Broadway musical Smokey Joe's Cafe. The list of achievements goes on: "A delightful blend of blues and roots-rock piano stylings with solid straight ahead vocals that imbue each song with energy. His affection for this music is obvious."
