Rock (classic)
12 Grapes Music & Wine Bar
12 North Division Street
Peekskill, NY   See Map
We can't think of a better way to kick off our Anniversary weekend! The DBG features the multi-talented Drew Bordeaux on guitar, vocals and electric fiddle, Amanda Ruzza on bass/vocals, Matt Graff on drums and Alex Nolan on guitar. Drew exudes an energy from the stage that is exhilarating, uplifting and downright contagious. Teamed with this talented group, it's ELECTRIC!

NY music reviewer Kevin Johnston wrote this about Drew: "His guitar work is the real deal. A lot of players have forgotten... what the rock solo is for, but Drew knows, and he uses it to take the music to a new level. And just to make sure you stay interested, he switches to electric violin."

Aside from his incredible musical talents, Drew is still first and foremost a songwriter. The band is currently recording their first full-length album, and we'll hear many of their original tunes tonight.

BeanRunner Cafe
201 S. Division Street @ Esther
Peekskill, NY   See Map
Saxophonist Eric Person brings his dynamic band Meta-Four to the Bean Runner Cafe where they will present a special program "The music of McCoy Tyner." The evening will consist of songs composed by Mr. Tyner or inspired by his musical presence.

Eric Person has toured and recorded with many jazz greats such as Dave Holland, McCoy Tyner, Chico Hamilton, John Hicks, the World Saxophone Quartet and many others. In his music, Person seeks to transcend the common terrain of modern jazz. His music lights up the scene with a rare lyricism and uncommon sensitivity.

A recent review in the Kansas City Star states: "Saxman Eric Person turned in a deeply impressive show... Person and his Meta-Four band played with a singleness of purpose that we never hear enough of. Each player seemed concerned with pushing the others to play their best-and they did."

"Person is more than fine; he's a major talent of his generation." Russ Musto-All About Jazz Magazine.

Red Hook, NY   See Map
Cea Marie has been making music for many moons with various bands and fellow musicians. some of these experiences have been wonderful. some have been not so wonderful and quite and heart-breaking. she moved to columbia county, ny in 2006 and took a little musical "siesta" so she could repair and reflect. during this time she continued on her other project, hba, and began slowly writing again, until a new body of work was formed. she met jez through some remix work he did on some of hba's material and asked him if he'd produce her new album, though she had no money to pay him with and only poor jokes. he suprisingly said yes. either he is crazy for saying yes or knows good music when he hears it. and thus cea marie officially was born.
