Studio Stu, with his state-of-the-art Studivarious single string bass, unique Brooklyn humor, and unusual, hypnotic vocals, is a master...a one string wonder, combining a traditional folk instrument and a classic jazz form, to create a third thing (one we haven’t quite figured out what to call yet).....fearless in delivery and willing to navigate uncharted paths through the improvisational wilderness; he is ‘el ultimo hombre del lounge’.
Studio Stu takes the very best in classic jazz, pop, and originals, and twists and bends them into what he calls ‘evocative jazz & exotic lounge’. He starts with standard tunes and a loop machine, except, nothing is sacred.....improv is rampant...lyrics are changed at will...

 Touted internationally as "the only well-know woman bassist in Jazz of her generation", New York's own Kim Clarke performs on the Acoustic Bass, Electric Upright and four and five-stringed Electric Bass Guitar.
In her 22-year tour affiliation with trombonist Joseph Bowie and his avant-jazz funk unit Defunkt, Kim wowed audiences from Iceland to Istanbul. Internationally she is noted as "at home in the Ron Carter School of HardBop" and "a dynamic Woman in Jazz."
Ms Clarke has been included in the Who's Who In the Performing Arts, Bass Player Magazine, Guitar Player Magazine, Germany's Jazzdimensions Online Magazine, a number of European magazines and several books on Women in Jazz.
Clarke will be joined by Roger Byam on sax, Bryan Carrot on vibraphone, and John Cooksey on drums.

Live Society was the New York winner of Bodog's $1 Million Battle of the Band competition and the band has entertained at venues and festivals such as New York's Bitter End and Irving Plaza, The Hard Rock Cafe in Orlando, Mandalay Bay in Vegas and the K104 K-Fest.
Tonight, Live Society perform their own unique mix of R&B and Pop Rock. Int'l Bluegrass Music Awards 2010 Female Vocalist and Kingston Native CLAIRE LYNCH returns for her first-ever homecoming show on Sunday, January 30 at Skytop Steakhouse! Claire has one of the best voices and band in American bluegrass and her new CD "Whatcha Gonna Do" (Rounder Records) is available at Blue-Byrd's in Uptown Kingston! Opening act The Saturday Night Bluegrass Band featuring Brian Hollander and Bill Keith. All tix $20 at the door, with tableside drinks and dinner service available all evening. Two young high school students are here to showcase their talents as musicians, singers and acoustic songwriters. Kevin is a drummer who's equally proficient on guitar and keyboards, and Ryder is a guitarist. Both young men are songwriters and vocalists whose performances are always astounding. Kevin is a frequent performer at our Open Mic nights, and has performed with many local musicians including Petey Hop and Will Van Sise. Ryder has performed at 12 Grapes and also at Rye Playland. Both boys study at the renowned Lagond Music School in Elmsford.
