She has released five blues-meets-indie-rock albums and is currently on an East Coast tour supporting her latest release, titled Turn It Up. NBC's Today Show said Lydia is "changing the face of the blues with her music."

 Marc Von Em is a soulfully energized singer/songwriter who's sound is rooted in Blues, Folk, Rock and Reggae. Driven by his fluid acoustic guitar playing and rich powerful voice, Marc's talents will blow you away from the very first note. Marc tells us that tonight, he's going to "bust out" some songs rarely played in public.
Marc has toured nationally and internationally with the Rob Thomas Band. Rob remarked, "I asked him to open up a 10,000 seat gig. Just him, his guitar, and his songs. He killed it!" Marc has also shared bills with such artists as Lucy Kaplansky, Martin Sexton, Richie Havens, Glenn Tillbrook and others. One reviewer writes: "... I can genuinely say if you haven't heard or seen him live, you are only cheating yourself." Marc has three CD's that are each amazing. His second studio recording, entitled "Free", has sold more than 6,000 copies. Marc has been working on his next solo CD, expected to be released soon.

 Sam Lardner's music represents everything a cross-cultural artistic experience should be: people from different traditions meeting in a place where everyone shines brighter. A long-time resident of Spain, Sam has performed with his flamenco fusion band throughout Europe and the United States, where he is a regular at folk and world music festivals. Sam's latest trips to the USA have included headline performances at the famous Kerrville Folk Festival in Texas as well as International Spotlight Artist performances at the Falcon Ridge Festival in upstate New York. :|: Rob Morsberger is a singer-songwriter and classically-trained composer. In addition to his own records, his sideman credits include Jules Shear, Loudon Wainwright III, The Roches, Crash Test Dummies and Marshall Crenshaw. He is composer for the award-winning PBS series NOVAscienceNOW. Other scoring/arranging credits include Masterpiece Theater, Boardwalk Empire, NOVA and Frontline.

In 2006, she was recognized with 3 Austin Music Awards and 4 Folk Alliance Music Awards.  Ted Berkowitz's The Musician and The Muse is a series of intensely personal works that capture and protect the soulful intensity of well known and well loved local musicians as they perform. The exhibit, which includes renderings of Pete Seeger, Fred Gillen Jr., the Ya Yas, Andy Polay, Rahn Burton, Lester Harper, Peter Croton and many more, will show at the BRC Gallery in Peekskill from Sunday, October 17 through December 5, 2010. A reception for the artist will be held on Saturday, October 23, from 3 to 6 p.m. Mark Tonelli, an award winning guitarist, will perform at the opening.
From the coffee houses to the jazz clubs of the lower Hudson Valley, Berkowitz captures the energy, sound and movement of the performers with powerful gestural marks. His masterful manipulation and combination of materials are both complex and straightforward, illustrating the joy and concentration of the musicians caught in their creative moment. Berkowitz is one of the best practitioners of this genre. |

Soprano Julie Ziavras and bartone John Cimino will present a Broadway-Opera Fusion, featuring songs, arias and duets including highlights from Man of La Mancha, West Side Story, La Traviata, Don Giovanni, Porgy & Bess and more. This concert is a fundraiser for the charitable organization Music For Humanity. Doors open at 7:00 pm for general admission seating, Silent Auction and Gift Basket raffle. Concert begins at 8:00 pm.

 Mizzy and Casey Wiggins, The Wiggins Sisters, can belt the blues or sing quiet Appalachian-style harmonies with equal confidence. They have earned numerous songwriting awards from Boston to Austin and have gained a following across the Atlantic as well. The Wiggins Sisters’ second CD “Minnesota” won the best Americana album by JPF Music Awards International 2009.
Yankee Rose has been playing together since 1992. Terry Seeley, Steve Massardo and Terri Massardo intertwine their vocals on lots of popular rock, folk and blues faves as well as many originals. They continue to perform with other groups, but it's nice to have the Rose back together in full bloom!

Fred Smith, former musical director for the Harlem Blues & Jazz Band, is taking us for a trip through the history of jazz. For the second of this three-part series, Fred, and his accomplished group of musicians, will light up the night with Swing.

Fred is the trumpeter of choice for many main line Swing groups through the years from drummer Panam Francis' Big Band and George Kelly's Jazz Sultans to the Thad Jones-Mel Lewis Orchestra.
