Marc has toured nationally and internationally with the Rob Thomas Band. Rob remarked, "I asked him to open up a 10,000 seat gig. Just him, his guitar, and his songs. He killed it!" Marc has also shared bills with such artists as Lucy Kaplansky, Martin Sexton, Richie Havens, Glenn Tillbrook and others. One reviewer writes: "... I can genuinely say if you haven't heard or seen him live, you are only cheating yourself." Marc has three CD's that are each amazing. The Quarrymen

In 1956, a 15-year-old Liverpool schoolboy named John Lennon recruited five of his closest friends to join him in a skiffle and rock 'n' roll group called The Quarrymen. On July 6th 1957, the group was performing at the annual garden party of the local village church St. Peter's. A friend of John Lennon attended the performance and brought with him another pal. He felt that his two friends should meet. The friend he brought with him was a just-turned-15 lad named Paul McCartney. These versatile musicians consistently garner worldwide accolades for their exuberant performances and outstanding recording efforts that seemingly can't get better ...yet continue to do just that. ~|~ "An especially eloquent mixture of the old and the new." -New York Times; "Scotland's Tannahill Weavers play acoustic instruments, but the atmosphere at their shows is electric! The quintet is as tight and as versatile as any band in the Celtic music revival. They can summon rock 'n' roll intensity or haunting introspection." -The Boston Globe; "...as close to perfect as it gets in an imperfect world." -Sing Out!

Margaret Bernstein
Singer-Songwriter
Taste Budd's Chocolate and Coffee Cafe
40 West Market Street
Red Hook, NY   See Map
New York City born Margaret Bernstein is an award winning singer-songwriter, composer and flutist with a unique voice, dynamic lyrics, and a positive and compelling message. Unlike many other songwriters of the pop-rock genre, Margaret is a classically trained musician who is an accomplished instrumental performer as well as a composer. Her musical compositions, which include elements from a diverse spectrum of styles and genres, have been inspired in part by her personal experiences and travels, which include four pilgrimages to India. Her live performances are a testament to Margaret’s amazing versatility, as she quickly segues from playing a Bach Partita on her flute to passionately playing the piano on an upbeat pop song. What makes Margaret stand out, however, is not only her eclectic and interesting background and level of accomplishment as a musician, but also her ability to communicate honestly and personally with her audience at heart level through her songs and music.

The Spotty Dog
Warren St.
Hudson, NY   See Map
Shane Murphy (b. 1986) is an early riser, a quiet observer, a student of Spanish literature, mostly an agreeable companion. He makes the music of a modern minstrel, drawing equally from the foreign and the intimately known. Raised in rural Northern New York, between the St. Lawrence River Valley and the Adirondack Mountains, his music demonstrates a reverence for the natural landscape, without ignoring the culture of urban life and urban decay. A tenor that rises and falls in a manner reminiscent of Tim Buckley, with lyrics evidently influenced by the poetry of Whitman, Frost and W.S. Merwin, he is fully capable both of lifting you up and breaking your heart.

OPEN HEARTH, his second album, will be released on WildCat Records this winter.

Johnny Feds is one of the premier guitar players in the area, and when Johnny & da Boyz hit the stage, it's an all-out, full-blown, knock-your-socks-off night of great music. Horns, guitars, keyboards, rhythm section, vocals... everything comes together to create an evening of Bluez you won't ever forget. With Johnny on Fender guitar and vocals, the inimitable JP Patrick on sax and vocals, John "Elmo" Lawson on bass, Fred Lind on keys and Kirk Deveraux on drums.

Johnny & da Boyz won the most votes from the judges in the 2008 Connecticut Blues Society's Blues Challenge, taking them into the finals. Da Boyz win votes from their fans every time they hit the stage, all across the tri-state and at 12 Grapes in particular. As they say, "Once Da Boyz get cookin' they'll boogie your woogie 'till you can't find your way home!"

The Bereznak Brothers are a dynamic, genre-bridging group: twin brother singer-songwriter-guitarists Michael & David Bereznak, who have literally been living for music since they were six. Seamlessly fusing together elements of '80s & '90s rock, heartland rock and current pop/rock, they use their signature brand of vocal harmonies, tasteful guitar, and pop song writing sensibility to create a musical tour de force with timeless songs that gracefully touch upon the issues of growing up in a small town, family strength, friendship, love, and loneliness. ~:|:~ Hailey Knox, a 2010 Towne Crier Cafe Open Mic Winner, is an eleven year old singer/guitarist who has been playing all around the Hudson Valley since the age of 9, and has helped raise money for Cancer, MS, Autism and for the homeless. She has also been in the Youth Showcase at the 4H Fair for the past three years. Hailey got her first paying job at the age of ten and she did her first talk show on "Time Out With Kevin Gallagher"
