She has shared stages with the likes of Cliff Eberhardt, Dar Williams, Entrain, Ryan Montbleau, Peter Mulvey, Jonathan Byrd, and Mary Gautier and played venues throughout the country. His ‘all’ is the Blues. The routes and roots of his blues are as diverse as the music form itself. It can be soulful, moaning out a people’s cry, or as playful and bouncy as a hayride. He’s a musician, composer, actor, director, and writer. He’s appeared on television, in film, on the stage, both with and without his famous actor-activist parents Ruby Dee and the late Ossie Davis. Since 1995, he has released seven critically performing music acclaimed records. His latest album, “Legacy” was picked as one of the Best CDs of the Year by National Public Radio (NPR). Saturday 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm | Erin Brown Acoustic, Singer-Songwriter | Taste Budd's Chocolate and Coffee Cafe 40 West Market Street Red Hook, NY See Map |
I'm a 22 year old singer/songwriter from Raleigh, NC. My first gig was when I was 14, opening for a jazz band at a cute little coffee shop in Durham, playing all original songs on a borrowed 12 string guitar. With my brother playing bass with me. It was really rockin'. And pretty much killed the possibility of ever wanting a real job that wasn't music. In November of 2007 I started really focusing on getting my music heard and played at all of the local open mics, and from there getting shows at local venues. In 2008 I self released a home recorded demo, played at a bunch of local and not so local venues, and made the decision that, hey, this is really and actually what I want to do with my life. Which leads up to the present. In June of 2010, I'm quitting my lovely animal keeping job and going on a solo, self-funded but amazingly and luckily and wonderfully not exclusively self-encouraged or self-supported or self-enthused tour to try to get my music heard.

Captivating stylist, introspective chanteuse, musical explorer, songwriter's singer… Labels have never fully defined the voice and talent of Maura O'Connell. Self-described as "just a singer," Maura's multi decade singing career has brought her international acclaim and two Grammy nominations - including a 2010 nomination for her album, Naked. Maura O'Connell began her professional musical journey as vocalist for the traditionally-based Celtic group DeDanann. While in Dublin and on later trips to Nashville O'Connell met Sam Bush, Bela Fleck, Tim O'Brien, Jerry Douglas and other top-flight acoustic players whose music resonated with her and influenced her then ground breaking musical penchant for blending Celtic traditions with a wide variety of other genres. O'Connell has lent her incredible voice to the projects of such artists as Van Morrison, James Taylor, Nanci Griffith, Dolly Parton, Bonnie Raitt, The Chieftains and Roseanne Cash. "Just a singer"...indeed! More info at the Towne Crier Cafe

With "Locked In Love"Jeremy went big in the late 80s with an eight piece band featuring horns and rich vocals. The album displayed a more developed composition style with impressive horn scoring by Chaka Kahn's legendary scoring wizard, Cengiz Yaltkaya. In the 90s Jeremy turned yet another corner when he introduced The Woodpeckers, featuring Craig Thaler on violin., and a fresh acoustic sound. In the late 90s Jeremy explored the Rave world of Techno and House Music with the release of "Fly", a mostly instrumental venture. Jeremy is currently touring solo acoustic.

Sunday 7:30 pm | GANDALF MURPHY & THE SLAMBOVIAN CIRCUS OF DREAMS Rock (progressive) | Towne Crier Cafe 130 Route 22 Pawling, NY See Map |
Gandalf Murphy & The Slambovian Circus Of Dreams has been variously described as "alt-country/ roots-rock," "folk-pop," "hillbilly-Floyd," and "surreal Americana" – a clear indicator of its singularly indescribable uniqueness. At the same time, their sound and even their songs feel so familiar, so classic, it's as if you've been listening to these characters all your life. The "Circus Of Dreams" has won critical acclaim as well as a fiercely loyal following. They've been Hudson Valley Magazine's "Band of the Year" for 3 years. The Circus' shows are notoriously un-staged, which is part of the fun and keeps their shows refreshingly real. However, while they don't take themselves too seriously, it's evident that they do take their jobs as music-makers very seriously: Gandalf Murphy & The Slambovian Circus Of Dreams brings you a show of precision, high-flying magic sure to delight one and all!
