Singer-Songwriter

12 North Division Street
Peekskill, NY   See Map
Once each month we present "Jon Cobert & Friends", with different guest artists joining Jon on stage. Jon Cobert is a five-time Grammy-nominee, keyboard player & record producer. Tonight, Jon is joined by singer/songwriter Petey Hop, in their first duo performance. Pete is one of the area's top guitar players, songwriters and performers. His original material runs the gamut from Rock & Roll, Americana, Electric and Acoustic Blues to Country and Alternative.

Jon is a uniquely talented singer, songwriter and keyboard player who's also recorded and produced with many music industry greats... John Lennon, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Chapin, Harry Chapin, Pete Seeger, Judy Collins, Chubby Checker, Al Green... the list goes on and on. Pete's repertoire is almost as huge as Jon's so the duo is sure to get into some great rock/pop covers, as well as their own original songs. We're excited to welcome these two friends and fantastic performers to our 12 Grapes stage.

Peekskill, NY   See Map
Grammy-Nominated Guitarist Gil Parris is one of the most acclaimed and versatile guitar masters of his generation. His style of playing defies and transcends all genres. "Parris blazes the trail and creates one of his own." Gil frequently performs with New York Yankees outfielder (and guitarist) Bernie Williams and has shared the stage with Paul Shaffer and trumpet legend Randy Brecker. In January '07, Parris invited these great musicians to jam with him in an extraordinary concert event at the Irvington Town Hall Theatre. "In an industry where artists are increasingly generic and pigeonholed, Parris, like his heroes Pat Metheny, David Sanborn and George Benson, stands out not only for his distinctive tone and passionate style but also in his effortless ability to let his fingers do the singing..."

Gil is joined tonight by the "singing drummer" Josh Dion, a passionate performer who will bring exceptional energy to this already amazing band.
