2 Alices Coffee Lounge
311 Hudson Street
Cornwall on Hudson, NY   See Map
Berg’s live performances are not to be missed blending bizarre tales of the road with comedic grenades and mysterious one-liners. Critics from New York to Nashville have described the live show as “riveting", "uplifting from one hypnotic twist to the next”, and “...another Dylan on the cusp of something else very big.” With his band the show becomes a spectrum of sounds and moods as wide and intense as American music history itself. Having been raised in a record store in the South, Berg wraps all his performances in a nocturnal soul-powered style which has captivated audiences far and wide.

Blues, Americana. incredible, outstanding, amazing
12 Grapes Music & Wine Bar
12 North Division Street
Peekskill, NY   See Map
You can't help but get up and dance to this band!!! Jerry and the "Brothers" are one of the tightest, coolest, funky-est, baddest bands around. Whatever you do, do not miss this performance. Jerry's an accomplished singer, songwriter and bass player, influenced by the Blues and Country Music. His entree into the NYC Blues scene was by way of the now infamous Dan Lynch Blues Bar, running the Saturday afternoon jam session there. This little bar became the hub of the Blues scene in NYC. Jerry calls his time there "an education that could not be replicated." His band is comprised of a lighting-fast guitarist, killer drummer and a keyboard player who also wails on the sax.

"My mission is to write and sing great songs. A great song can touch you the way nothing else can. A great song can take complex issues and break them down so everyone can understand them." Well said, Jerry.

Joe Whyte
Folk/Traditional, Rock (classic), and Americana
Taste Budd's Chocolate and Coffee Cafe
40 West Market Street
Red Hook, NY   See Map
Combining equal parts folk, rock and Americana, Joe Whyte's songs have been described as "alt-country pearls that shimmer with simplicity and effectiveness" and "beautifully crafted, melancholic Americana." Whyte's vocal delivery, storytelling and confessional lyrics convey a sense of urgency not typically seen in today's music industry. Joe is currently finishing material for a follow-up to 2007's critically-acclaimed album, Devil in the Details, which received 4 Stars from Maverick, was named to Americana Roots' Best of 2007 List and was predicted to "make history" by Rootsville. This summer, he opened a sold-out show for Rosanne Cash, as well as playing 2 shows in Nashville for CMA Fest, including one in the plaza of the Ryman Auditorium. He most recently showcased during the Americana Music Festival in September. Over the years he's also played in the US and Europe with such acts as Steve Forbert, Slaid Cleaves and Josh Ritter to name a few.

Jon Burr, acoustic bass virtuoso, has worked with Tony Bennett, Chet Baker, Stephane Grappelli, Barbara Cook and others, and Lynn returns to her musical roots as a vocalist while working as artistic director for the Rockland Center for the Arts. Their arrangements express the essence of the American Songbook, 60’s Pop and contemporary jazz.

with SQUID FIGHTER

STARR LOUNGE @ Starr Place Restaurant
6417 Montgomery Street
Rhinebeck, NY   See Map
This unique and almost indescribable band has created an enormous catalog of original music since its first jam session in the spring of 2008. Their play list of songs encompass and often fuse or transcend various genres, including rock, reggae, funk, country, psychedelia, and jazz. They love to jam, but more often they are simply singing their songs to you.

Interestingly, Squid Fighter's lyrics were all found, by the band members, on wind-polished stone tablets at the bottom of an ancient Martian riverbed.

The band's influences range from Bob Dylan to Led Zeppelin, but their sound may most closely resemble Pink Floyd teaming up with The Police to cover Beatles tunes, after listening to Phish bootlegs all day.

Back before MTV, when artists actually performed rather than lip-syncing their shows to pre-recorded music, Sid was the first person to stage a major rock act at a stadium. The roster of bands he has promoted is a virtual who’s who of popular music in the twentieth century: Judy Garland, Tony Bennett, the Rascals, the Rolling Stones, the Blues Project, Hendrix, Joplin, Sinatra, Grand Funk Railroad, Bay City Rollers, Laura Branigan, to name a few.

Fantastic songs with a sometimes off-kilter perspective, kindled from the universe, bringing to life melodies that seem as if they always existed. Performing solo, all pretense and bombast are stripped away to reveal the structure and feel of each song.

Rockland Vocal/ Bass Duo Perform What Should Be Impossible!
with Jon & Lynn
Jazz, Acoustic
Anna Maria's Restaurant
18 Chatsworth Ave
Larchmont, NY   See Map
Amazing! The beat goes on with this new jazz/pop duo performing what should be impossible. Jon & Lynn seek to share their love for the music they find, exploring the varied and rich sonorities created simply by vocal melody and bass lines.
