Saturday 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm | Vince Sauter Acoustic, Folk/Traditional | Taste Budd's Chocolate and Coffee Cafe 40 West Market Street Red Hook, NY See Map |
Vince started his venture into music as a percussionist. He played in many bands throughout the 60’s and early 70’s playing everything from rock and roll and country to jazz. During this time he also became interested the instruments of the other band members he worked with and started teaching himself how to play guitar and bass. Later on he picked up banjo and mandolin. During the early 80’s his music took a very different turn. He became a member of the Hudson Valley Folk Guild and began performing at every open mic venue he could find. He continues to haunt the stages in the area and has been a feature on some local radio stations like WVKR and whenever possible plays at some of the local festivals and street fairs. I am sure you will agree that his use of alternate and standard tunings accompanied by his soothing clear voice makes for an enjoyable evening of music.

This more humble opportunity for local performances started with a very successful run of the Community Music Night, and the series has run on and off since fall 2007. "The showcase has been a performance opportunity for both newly-established artists, and those that were outside the musical style of the Cafe's usual weekend bookings." photo credit: © 2009 Ross Pilot Marji's Website | ||
