"Saxophonist Ray Blue has a sound and style that's energetic, powerful, and sensitive. Ray takes you for a musical ride characterized by passion and precision. He delivers dynamic poetic phrases, strong grooves and leaves audiences wanting more. A Ray Blue Music Experience stays with you for a long time." In 2003, Ray traveled to South Africa. While performing with South African musicians, conducting jazz and educational workshops, a unique blend of musical language was being formed... a fusion of American and African cultures, rhythms and melodies. Ray returns to Africa each year to perform, study and conduct workshops. He is now working on an American-African World Music production for a new release.

Raised in Peekskill, Ray now lives in NYC and Berlin, and tours the world performing his unique blend of jazz, Afro-American and spiritual music.

With the news of budget deficits at Saugerties High School, the music and arts programs will all be seriously affected. This concert will raise money for the Music Department, The CVP Class, and the newly formed Drama Club.

This group of dedicated musicians not only pay tribute to the great blues masters, but who offer a growing original blues repertoire as well. True to the roots of traditional Delta and Chicago style blues, the band plays a variety of wonderfully obscure electrified grooves! With Walter Lewis on guitar and vocals, David Anastasia on bass and Scott Logan on drums. Walter Lewis took an award at the Apollo Theater in 1998 performing "Ramblin' On My Mind" by Robert Johnson. Walter also won the 2006 Connecticut Blues Society Acoustic Blues Challenge, representing the state of Connecticut at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN. David won the 2003 Connecticut Blues Society Band Challenge with the Hoodoo Band, and also represented Connecticut in Memphis at the International Blues Challenge.
