Hailing from Sugar Hill, Georgia, singer/songwriter Katerina Hope first started playing guitar at age 11 and was writing her first songs by age 14. She began her career in performance in coffeehouses around Atlanta, where she also records in her home studio. In 2008, Katerina Hope began studying at New York University, where she is currently pursuing a degree in music. Though she has only been in New York City for a short time, she has already begun to leave her mark on the music scene. She plays at local hot spots such as the Bitter End and the Bowery Poetry Club, where, after her latest set, poet Michael Rechtenwald described Katerina Hope and her work as “the next big thing” in the world of music. | ||

Once a month we put eight of the area's best artists together for some musical magic. We do two 'rounds' of four players each with an intermission. The four performers are seated in the center facing each other, the audience is circled around them, only a few feet away. The New Guys are a hard working four piece band, playing a mix of tunes from many genre's, including Blues, R&B, and Classic Rock. They recently added a great guitar player, Bobby Mazz to the mix, opening up a whole new type of sound and expression for us. They also have been fortunate to have Gary Brooks sit in with them for the last few gigs on keys and sax. Recently, someone at a club said to them "You guys sound like a freight train in a hurricane!" That pretty much sums it up. They have been playing clubs throughout the Hudson Valley for a few years now bringing their unique music style that is refreshing and long overdue. In 1998, after a twenty year gestation period, the songs started to come. 2003 found Steve a Kerrville New Folk finalist. In 2005 his song "This Old Town" received honorable mention from the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival. He began recording his debut C.D. with friend, mentor and producer Fred Gillen, Jr. in early 2006, which was completed in early 2007 and released in September of that year to modest acclaim and good airplay on many folk radio programs. He has showcased at Northeast Regional Folk Alliance in New York and looks forward to getting out and seeing America. | ||

Neil Alexander & Nail will honor the day with their usual mix of burning grooves, soaring soundscapes and red-hot jazz. This will feature longtime drummer Nadav Zelniker & bass virtuoso James Cammack (Ahamd Jamal) on both electric & acoustic bass, and guest appearances by local musical luminaries Premik Russel Tubbs and the wonderful vocalist Judi Silvano.
