 Written by Marlene Whelahan and Illustrated by Sue Killian, Once Upon A Peanut is a true story written for children about author Marlene Whelahan’s daughter when she was first diagnosed with peanut allergies. A great read story for little ones as well as an independent read for bigger kids.
The message is that children with peanut allergies can live a normal and safe life. Whelahan even included a section for parents/caregivers with general information and tips that will help them as well.
This is a book every elementary school library and pediatrician’s office should have!
BeanRunner’s Kids Room is open and welcomes children to play and enjoy the kid-friendly games and facilities before and after the reading.

He has showcased at Northeast Regional Folk Alliance in New York, and we look forward to his debut at 12 Grapes.
Also new to 12 Grapes is Mike Clifford, who will be stopping off in Peekskill before going on a July tour in Australia! As we listen to his myspace music, we have no doubt Mike will be a welcome addition to our Singer/Songwriter Showcase.

Rosendale Cafe Singer-Songwriter Tuesdays
Led by saxophonist and Mahopac High School Band Director Rich Williams, the Secret Organ Trio's sound is rooted in the great American tradition of Hammond organ based jazz groups. The group plays soul jazz, a groove-infused style of jazz that incorporates blues, gospel and rhythm & blues. The sound is reminiscent of the great organ trios of the 1960's with some modern and original elements thrown in as well. The result is a fun atmosphere that moves people makes everyone feel good.
We always look forward to the diversity, surprise and talent that accompanies one of Petey's Open Mics. We invite all talented artists come take the stage and enjoy one of the most talked about music venues in Westchester. Petey opens the evening with one of his versatile and creative acoustic sets. He's warm, charming and the perfect open mic host. 
This third and final Series date for Artist in Residence, "Nicola" pulls out all the stops as she welcomes Elza, whose songs have been featured on the WB hit series Smallville, CBS’s Clubhouse and several independent Films that are on the festival circuit today. Rounding out the evening we are also excited to announce a special post tour performance by UFO Music and Shellac Records recording artists "The Guggenheim Grotto!" Highly acclaimed by David Dye of WXPN and the syndicated World Cafe Radio Show this awesome Dublin duo is currently taking the country by storm touring coast to coast for their latest release "Happy the Man!"
