Danny is the son of legendary Bob Paisley and took over leadership of the band when his father passed away 5 years ago. He has since raised the level of this already famous group to new heights and has recorded 2 albums on the Rounder label. Our guest emcee for the afternoon will be Carol Beaugard, host of the radio station WFDU FM program " Lonesome Pine RFD". The suggested donation for this event is $20 per person. Manny Cortez is a veteran 12 Grapes Singer/Songwriter, and a talented guitarist. His vocals are reminiscent of Cat Stevens and his sets are always enjoyable. Manny's just cut his own CD and will be treating us to a few of his originals tonight, as well as some favorite covers.
Sheri Miller lives in NYC and performs at many popular NY clubs. Sheri's voice and guitar work is described as "hypnotic bluesy American soul meets classic British melodic-pop." All we know is we love it. She just finished a music video of her song "Waste My Breath", now playing on YouTube.

Guy Davis is among the most prominent ambassadors of African-American art and culture. The son of noted actors, directors and activists Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee, Guy, self-taught on guitar, was born and raised in New York City but was frequently regaled with stories of southern country life as a child. Davis composed the music for PBS series "The American Promise" and his score for the telefilm, "To Be a Man," won an Emmy.
