We have 6 great bands donating their time, with Laura Lynn and DJ Jim from our County Night doing some dancing and Karaoke at the end of the event. We also have raffles, prizes, and giveaways. All proceeds from the raffles and the door go directly to the family. The Steel House is also donating a portion of the proceeds to the family.

Joshua Morris began performing classical music at an early age with his father, mother, brother and sister, he began performing around the south, and the Morris Family became well known for their beautiful Irish harmonies. Later, Joshua expanded his musical repertoire to include rock and roll, drawing on his classical and Irish background, and with his band Sinclair, released the album Stories of this Land in 2002. Joshua recorded and produced the 2004 Morris Family release Farewell to Summer.
After moving to Beacon, NY in 2008, Joshua has continued his musical ambitions, melding his voice, violin and guitar into a solo act adept in both faithful traditional tunes as well as improvised original work.
Joshua currently designs recording studios and other acoustically-sensitive spaces for Walters-Storyk Design Group in Highland, NY.

Purple k’niF play Maximum Surf and Hard Twang instrumentals! Imagine The Ventures with Keith Moon on drums. With an extensive repertoire of original tunes and vintage obscurities, Purple k’niF eschew the standards and ride the wild outside edge of instrumental Surf music.
Formed in 1991 in New York City, all the members are originally from Ohio, and the band takes its name from a catch phrase used by the late, great Ghoulardi (Ernie Anderson) - host of Cleveland’s Fright Night/Creature Feature TV show in the 1960s - “Turn blue you purple k’nif!” (The “K” is hard and k’niF is Fink spelled backwards). After a 12 year hiatus, Purple k’niF reformed in 2006 and have been performing from the New Jersey shore to the beaches of Lake Erie, live radio shows on WFMU-FM and touring with Los Straitjackets. |
