This is a very special series of concerts in which we present some of the most exceptional performers from the wealth of regional talent around us. These are up-and-coming artists whom we know well through their work at Open Mike Nights or as openers for featured musicians. These evenings are an opportunity to see what could be fame in the making, as many of our patrons have experienced in recent years. Join us for a great evening with these gifted performers.
The Kingston Library will be hosting music on Tuesday December 30, 2008! The event will consist of a public open mic session and conclude with a half-hour performance from a top local artist from within the Hudson Valley. Every performer has the option of being recorded, and to purchase a CD of themselves if they wish! The sign-up starts at 5 PM and the event will begin at around 5:30 PM. The featured performer will begin at 7:00 PM and the event will conclude around 7:30 PM. 
Come down to the Firebird Lounge every Tuesday at 9pm for the hottest acoustic open mic around. Hosted by Karl Allweier, any and all types of acoustic music welcome. No cover, come down and play or just have a drink and take it all in. You never know what will happen...

Myles is a 13 yr old, multi-instrumentalist prodigy playing a unique blend of Rockin' Rhythm & Soul. His performances include songs from Ray Charles, James Brown, Wilson Pickett, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Cash, Myles' own Originals and many more. He's played at some of the top venues in New York City; BB Kings & the Iridum Jazz Club in Times Square, The Cutting Room, Tera Blues, The Red Lion, South Street Seaport, Madison Square Garden (Knick's Half-Time Show) and many others through-out the Tri State area. In a newspaper article about Myles, Sid Bernstein (who's best known as the man who brought the Beatles to America) was interviewed and said; "Myles is a young prodigy that will captivate and thrill an audience". At every Mojo Myles show there is plenty of Groovin' & Movin'. This is a one of a kind live music experience that's fun for any age at Keegan Ales in Kingston NY....Also that night; "The Mojo Boogie Awards" DANCE COMPETITION ~~ Don't miss the fun!!

12 Grapes is pleased to present Buried in Blue for the first time. Tom Dowd has played with the area's best musicians for going on 2 decades. He is known for lightning-fast guitar work, clear, soaring vocals and fresh, compelling arrangements that span Rock, Blues, R&B and Pop classics. Everyone wants to come out to see Nevermind: A Tribute to Nirvana along with special guests Tension, Identity, S.I.N. and Big Shoe! This show's going to be rocking! After a big show in Cleveland, Nevermind is coming back to Poughkeepsie with Nirvana hits! Tension the teen rock band, after releasing their debut EP they started promoting in November with a local tour! So come out to see this alternative rock show @ The Chance in Poughkeepsie, the Hudson Valley's premier music venue!
