Adrian Legg, John SheehanBodles Opera House
39 Main Street
Chester, NY   See Map
Impossible to categorize as a player, Adrian Legg incorporates virtually every genre on his guitar in a virtuosic instrumental style with effects. He brought electric approaches to acoustic playing, creating a modern cross-over amalgamation in the tradition of eclectic folk playing that goes back to the 1960s." - Guitar by Richard Chapman, 2000

"There are guitarists, there are axe-wielding maniacs, and then there are wizards. Adrian Legg is one of the wizards. He has enough technique to do just about anything he wants, but also the sensitivity to honour the contours of a melody." - Philadelphia Enquirer, Aug. 5, 2000

Voted "Guitarist of the Decade" by Guitarist magazine. Guitar Player's Reader's Poll Winner for Best Acoustic Fingerstyle Guitarist for 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996

Opening the show: John Sheehan is a multi styled Composer/Finger Style Guitarist/Singer/Songwriter from Ringwood, NJ. . He is a steadfast proponent of the solo finger style guitar performance, whether it be a Festival performance, small stage, a house concert, party, Restaurant or bar. Three of John's compositions have been used as backdrops for videos: "Old Mill Rag", a TV/Cinema ad for "Sky Digital in the UK, "Buggy Ride", in a short film on safety called "The Eddie Adams Tragedy", released by the Weyerhauser Corporation and Rocket- Pictures of Seattle Washington and "Cliffs of Moher" for a promotional film for the Emily Williston Memorial Library of Easthampton, Massachusetts. Acoustic, Singer-Songwriter
Towne Crier Cafe
130 Route 22
Pawling, NY   See Map
Antje Duvekot is a German-born, American-raised singer-songwriter who has risen to the top of the competitive Boston singer-songwriter scene, and is now attracting national attention, including XM and Sirius satellite radio, Fox, ABC, NECN TV, and National Public Radio. "...terrific writer and singer, with the instincts to do things right, over and over and over." -Dave Marsh, Rolling Stone; "When I first heard Antje I knew I was witnessing something very special. She creates an entire, detailed world in verse, and takes you there with beautiful and understated melody. Her songs are stunning paintings of color and shade and always generate the heat and light that real art should." -Neil Dorfsman, producer of Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Sting, Dire Straits

Natalia Zukerman has a sound that's strong, yet delicate, gentle yet insistent. Call it folk if you want, but there's jazz in it, too ...and blues ...and a soulful something-or-other that you can't quite put into words.

COMMANDER CODY & HIS LOST PLANET AIRMEN, also PROFESSOR LOUIE & THE CROWMATIX
Rock (classic)
Towne Crier Cafe
130 Route 22
Pawling, NY   See Map
One of the country's best boogie-woogie bar bands in their heyday in the early to mid '70s, COMMANDER CODY specializes in a revved-up, full tilt assortment of Western swing, country and rockabilly music (Hot Rod Lincoln; Smoke, Smoke Smoke; etc). Today, the Commander continues to balance his arts among painting, music and mastery of the good-time, get-down-and-boogy school of live performance. Come on in and watch our roof get raised, as Commander Cody lands here once again!

PROFESSOR "LOUIE" & THE CROWMATIX perform a tasty mix of rhythm & blues and rock'n'roll, including songs from The Band as well as their own songs. Aaron Hurwitz (tagged Professor "Louie" by Rick Danko of The Band) co- produced the last three Band albums: Jericho, High On The Hog and Jubilation. "Professor Louie's upstate ensemble is an Americana template that jams out timeless rock, country, blues and New Orleans influenced originals." - The Village Voice
