Cloud 9 has recently grown into their own. With a style of music that is equally satisfying on both cd or live at shows. Comprised of six musicians whos goal is to stretch genres and create a new vibe of music that lends equally to tight instrumental as well as catchy word play. With shows that drive hard energy anthems combined with mellow mood crowd pleasers the band has constructed a sound that has made the music experience fun again. Cloud 9 is going places, this is not a pompus statement from the boys but rather a true to life claim of there recent influx of shows reaching as far as Texas. Though the band is in its infancy as far as it's life span all members are seasoned vets of other projects and together deliver a sound that is catchy and new. Still bein easy but now in your neck of the woods.

This is the concept: Get eight of the most talented women in the Hudson Valley together on stage and then sit back and enjoy two hours of musical bliss! These incredible performers will be doing their own songs and will also sing songs by women who influenced or inspired them along the way. Some of those influences are Suzanne Vega, Joni Mitchell, Gillian Welch, the Indigo Girls and Rosalie Sorrels. Come hear these extraordinary songwriters cover THEIR favorite songwriters in the Hudson Valley's most intimate music venue.
Kenny B and the Temple Dudes will be performing at Beantowne Gourmet Coffee House in Allendale NJ on August 30th - 8pm. Ken will be doing the first set solo, followed by the full band.

Johnny A. is widely regarded as one of America's finest contemporary guitarists. Gibson thinks so -- their Custom Shop designed a Signature Edition guitar per his specific requests, which placed him in an exclusive club that included legends like BB King, Wes Montgomery, Chet Atkins, Joe Perry, Pat Martino and Les Paul himself. Johnny A's guitar is his voice. The warmth of its tones and allure of melodies summon images of late-night bars, moonlight along a waterfront, mysterious candlelit encounters -- all without so much as a peep from any vocalist. He is being recognized by an ever-widening circle of high-prestige gigs with the likes of B.B. King, Robert Cray and Jeff Beck, plus an appearance at Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival in 2004. He has also shared stages with Aerosmith, the Cars, Cheap Trick, Bad Co., the Smithereens, Dave Edmunds, Bob Seger, David Johansen, Yes, the Brian Setzer Orchestra and Hootie & the Blowfish.

Although Red Roosters roots remain firmly planted in Americana and Alternate Country, the band has created a highly original and urban infused sound. Today Red Rooster shows vary from its founders, Jay Erickson and Nat Zilkha with a couple of acoustic guitars to an urban country orchestra complete with electric guitars, horns, fiddle, mandolin, banjo, a DJ and choir. Interesting arrangements, well blended vocals and sharp musicianship will make for an interesting night of great music. There is no cover for this performance, your generosity is always appreciated. Dockside is located just 3.8 miles off the Bryant Pond Road exit of the Taconic Parkway.

By any measure, the Claire Lynch Band is high on the bluegrass world's A-List, with musicians whose accolades include International Bluegrass Music Ass'n Female Vocalist of the Year and two Grammy nominations for Best Bluegrass Album, two IBMA Guitar Player of the Year awards and two IBMA Bass Player of the Year awards. Claire's musical direction dates back to the Front Porch String Band, resulting in a seasoned sound that is simultaneously unpretentious and richly textured. It's a down-home, front porch sensibility -- until you realize that it's a rare front porch, indeed, that has ever hosted musicians of this caliber. Dolly Parton credits Claire with "one of the sweetest, purest and best lead voices in the music business today." Claire's harmonies have graced the recordings of many stellar musicians, from Ralph Stanley to Linda Ronstadt. Equally gifted as a songwriter, her songs have been recorded by The Seldom Scene, Patty Loveless, Kathy Mattea, The Whites and others.

Stop Crossroads is an ad-hoc group of citizens concerned about the oversized and potentially environmentally damaging proposal called "Crossroads at New Paltz", a FIFTY-SEVEN acre development.

Marc colorful singer/songwriter and an accomplished fingerstyle guitarist. He recently created international news with a youtube video (30,000 hits) of his musical confrontation with Martha Stewart; his ritual of visiting his local coffee shop just recently inspired a tune 'Ooh, I Love My Coffee'. which made it hit of the week on internet radio, Meermusic.com. He was also featured at last year's Sundance Film Festival performing songs off his 'Stroke of Genius' CD. And, just this month, he wrote and recorded an inspiring video and song for Barack Obama. entitled,"Step Up, America." In the words of Paul Winter, "His songs are great and his singing is superb."

Playing lead guitar (still acoustic) for my friend "Just James". Great covers of classic country & western - and some other tunes thrown in for good measure. We'll be up in East Durham (on Rte. 145) at Stack’s Lamp Post Pub - a nice little Irish pub. 
Having well-established himself as one of the top harp players of the current generation with several awards, including "Best Modern Blues Harmonica Player" 3 years in a row by Real Blues Magazine, JUMP TIME bandleader DENNIS GRUENLING recently went back to his Chicago roots, recording a CD tribute to blues harmonica icon Little Walter. The CD includes many special guests, including Jimmy Rogers Band alumni STEVE GUYGER, who will be joining Dennis for this show. "They don't just play the songs of Little Walter, they express themselves with fluency within the idiom of Little Walter's blues‚ this is deep blues played by some of the best practitioners active today, period." - Scott Dirks, blues historian, co-author of The Story Of Little Walter
