Andrew Revkin
Singer-Songwriter, Contemporary, and Folk/Traditional

Andy Revkin, best known as a prize-winning environmental journalist, is a longtime singer-songwriter living in Down East Maine after three decades living and performing in the Hudson River Valley. He has opened shows for Don McLean, David Wilcox and Dar Williams and was a frequent accompanist of folk legend Pete Seeger. His updated version of the Arctic ballad “Lord Franklin” was featured on NPR and his first album, "A Very Fine Line," was described as “sweet…marrow music” by Brian Robbins in Jambands. That album featured Dar Williams, the fiddler Bruce Molsky and mandolin wizard Mike Marshall. His new album, Wake Me up Martha, was a top 40 Folk Radio release this summer and is hailed by hit folk songwriter Dean Friedman, who says Andy’s “songs are everything contemporary folk aspires to be.”
