Joe Jencks is a veteran of the international folk circuit based Illinois. Merging conservatory training with his Irish roots and working-class up bringing, Joe delivers engaged musical narratives filled with heart, soul, groove and grit. He is known for his performances of musical beauty, social consciousness, and exploration of complex ideas. Blending well-crafted instrumentals and vivid songwriting, Jencks serves it all up with a gorgeous baritone voice with the edgy richness of a good sea-salt caramel. He has penned several #1 Folk songs, including the ever-relevant “Lady of The Harbor,” and is a fan favorite throughout North America and beyond. His album Poets, Philosophers, Workers, and Wanderers earned the #1 CD, #1 Song, and #1 Artist on the Folk Alliance International/ Folk DJ Radio Charts.
