The Copland House Ensemble, based at the historic home of Aaron Copland in Westchester County and its Bluestone Farm venue, is an acclaimed American repertory group featuring artists like Alexander Fiterstein (clarinet), Siwoo Kim (violin), Tanner Menees (viola), Alexis Pia Gerlach (cello), and Michael Boriskin (piano). Renowned for their polished, communicative playing, they perform a rich repertoire spanning 150 years, including works by Schumann, Tsontakis, Joan Tower, and Fauré, championing both classic and contemporary American composers. The ensemble has been widely featured on major media outlets such as CBS Sunday Morning and NPR, performs at top venues like Carnegie Hall and Tanglewood, and offers educational programs nationwide. With nearly 100 commissions and prestigious awards like the Grawemeyer, their mission aligns with Copland’s legacy of American music advocacy.
