The genre, Gypsy Jazz, is said to have been started by guitarist Jean "Django" Reinhardt in the 1930s. The style has often called by the French name Jazz Manouche or by more simply, Hot Jazz.

Michael Snow, Chris Macchia and Sean Crimmins perform the very best in traditional and postmodern Hot Jazz, emulating the exciting sounds of the 1930's French jazz scene.
