Blues rock guitarist, singer-songwriter Popa Chubby will celebrate 30 years of the blues life, by releasing a new album It’s A Mighty Hard Road, on March 1st. With 15 tracks, two covers and 13 originals, the record rocks the blues with plenty soul.
Chubby continues to play more than 200 club dates a year, and has released numerous albums worldwide. Most notably, his Sony/Okeh debut, 'Booty and the Beast', was produced by longtime Atlantic Records engineer/producer TOM DOWD, whose recordings for Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Wilson Pickett, among others are legendary!
Popa Chubby recently produced the album "Get My Demons Straight", with the Italian duo, Superdownhome.
