Soil & Soul ... is a Trio performing Multi-genre original, Singer-Songwriter, and Acoustic music.
We are a genre hopping band based out of NY's gorgeous Hudson Valley, conjuring music magic & spontaneous collaboration at purpose-driven gatherings. Our sound can be described as bluesy folk rock and all the jazz, because we really do believe diversity is the spice of life! We love playing a mix of covers and originals, and enjoy tailoring the set to the specific event and audience.
With a few festivals now under our belt we're spreading our wings for 2026. Our first love will always be Farmers' Markets and playing in support of the local food ecosystem. We've played:
- community meal programs
- public libraries
- farms
- vineyards
- breweries
- environmental education centers
- environmental education centers on boats!
We love playing for farmers, chefs, cooks, custodians, composters, children, seniors, healthcare heroes, at community meal programs, anything queer-related, and for any cause that serves the Greater Good and builds Beloved Community.

For Soil & Soul it's all about harnessing the uplifting, unifying power of music to advance environmental & social justice causes. Nina Simone & Pete Seeger are our guiding north stars.
Few things elevate an in-person gathering like adaptive, live music. We know how to read a room. The right song played at the right time can be a transcendent experience. Bandleader Lisa Pellegrino lives for moments of engagement and getting the audience to become part of the band by singing along, but also knows when to serve as a more supporting role and play as background. The band can expand to be up to a 6 piece (upright bass/saxophone/trumpet/trombone/drums/violin) depending on the event. Lisa has facilitated (live) music trivia, acoustic karaoke, and "Name That 90s Tune". An 80s baby, Lisa grew up in the golden age of TV show theme songs and jingles, and strives to tap the mnemonic magic of music to use as a force for good rather than over-consumption.
