Bio:
AM Gold originally was the name given to songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Aaron Magram’s rock/prog/pop-based home recordings. Between 2017 and 2020, he released three full-length albums (Fuckin’ A, Love Pharmaceuticals & Smooth Jazz, SuperUltraMegaMediocre), two EP’s (Xanax, Aww Yeah!), and a full-length collection of various recordings pre-dating the first LP. By mid-2020, Aaron’s involvement in other projects moved AM Gold to the back burner.
Fast forward two years: the desire to perform AM Gold live is expressed by friend and drumming extraordinaire Dana Fasano. Aaron and Dana began jamming the material together in late 2022, with plans to find additional musicians to replicate the layered approach of the recordings. Instead, they discovered that with the aid of an octave pedal for bass tones, occasional guitar looping to support solos, and a vocal pedal for a touch of harmonies, the performances already sounded full for a two piece. Thus, the material was deemed ready for human consumption, and the AM Gold project was reborn.
AM Gold's latest album, simply titled "AM Gold", was recorded by this new power-duo lineup and released on June 28th, 2024.
