Bursting onto the scene in Dutchess County NY, GenXtra is a breath of fresh air in the cover band world! We're a group of five passionate musicians united by a love for rock music and a desire to bring its energy to a new generation fueled by the combined power of a female vocalist and a gritty male lead. Though new to the scene, each member brings a unique skillset and infectious enthusiasm, honed through individual musical journeys and a shared hunger to perform.
Our story began in 2023 when our paths crossed at a jam session. A shared spark ignited, powered by our desire to create a band that didn't just play the classics, but reimagined them for a modern audience. We meticulously craft setlists that weave together timeless hits with unexpected twists, ensuring a fresh and engaging experience for listeners of all ages. From the genre-defining sounds of the 70s, 80s, and 90s, GenXtra is your go-to party band, faithfully recreating the classic rock, alternative and pop anthems with a modern twist.
