Steve Michaels is the original lead singer of The Velvatones’. Steve Michaels started the group in the Bronx in the late 70s, performing a wide variety of doo wop and songs of the 50s. The extremely appealing entertainment of Steve Michaels, original lead singer of The Velvatones, has gathered and continues to gather a strong following through his many personal appearances in theaters, concerts, nightclubs and special events. Steve Michaels’ performances always remain a favorite and entertain all wanting to see him over and over again. Steve Michaels and The Velvatones’ premiere “hit” record was their rendition of “Come Go With Me” which successfully spread throughout the USA and Central Europe.Steve Michaels has performed with many legends, including Chuck Berry, Jimmy Beaumont and the Skyliners, The Duprees, Bowzer, The Platters, Alive ‘n’ Kickin, The Coasters, Larry Chance and the Earls, Johnny Maestro & The Brooklyn Bridge, Ronnie Spector, The Byrds, The Shirelles, The Stylistics, The Manhattans, Comedians Pat Cooper and Dom Irrear, among other musical extravaganzas. Steve Michaels’ live performances, his mark of “gold,” and his high energy have entertained radio listeners and have captivated television audiences.
