Nate Allen
Looking for fun, engaging, and affordable lessons from a professional bass player? Looking for long term instruction, or just a one-off lesson to boost your playing and confidence for an audition?

I'm your guy!

Whether you're just beginning or an advanced player, or want to pursue Jazz, Classical, Rock, Bluegrass, Folk or any other genre, I have much to offer you to help you grow as a performing and recording artist. I studied Jazz performance at SUNY Purchase college and have been playing and recording professionally in the greater NYC area and around the world since then. I live in the Hudson Valley and I am excited to expand my teaching practice. I always work with students based on their individual wants and needs, in order to help them accomplish their specific goals.

Here are some of the things I can help you work on:

*Beginner-Advanced left hand techniques

*Beginner-Advanced right hand techniques (pizzicato)

*Right hand techniques (arco) (French Bow)

*Reading and interpreting musical notation

*Creating your own bass lines

*Learning and memorizing songs

*Improvisational skills

*Ear training

*Developing good practicing habits

*Basic maintenance and repair of your Bass

And lot's more!

Feel free to reach out to me with any questions, I would love to hear from you!
