Joe provides a safe environment where smooth dancers can move around the outside, while rhythm dancers can stay in the center.

Joe also provides a unique "Coaching Corner". During the dance, the basic step to whatever dance is currently up in the rotation is being taught in a corner just off of the main dance floor.

The late Performing Songwriter Magazine called his narrative-heavy style “folk meets rock meets lonesome cowboy waltzes.” Between engagements performing and teaching, Weddell also runs Puget's Sound Productions, a community live-music non-profit in the Seattle area. His latest CD, “Nobody’s Flag,” features literature-inspired songs from his work with The Bushwick Book Club Seattle, of which he is also a board member.
