With a rich sound drawn primarily from his love of 60s and 70s music, New Yorker Scott Krokoff (pron: Crow-Cough) weaves elements of folk rock & country pop into confessional and compelling Americana. He is an evocative and introspective songwriter, and a deft finger-picker in the vein of James Taylor and Paul Simon with "an edge of Replacements styled alt rock to his strum" (Hiplanta). Scott has opened for Elle King and Grace Weber, toured in the US and Europe, including playing live in Belgium for his biggest fan, and received radio airplay throughout the US, Canada and Europe. Scott's last record, 2015's Realizations & Declarations, Vol. 2, received rave reviews praising Scott's "graceful tales of morality and perseverance" (The Vinyl District) and "music in the vein of 1960s and '70s songsmiths, but also recalling hot up-and-comers like Father John Misty" (PopDose). Scott's currently working on his next record that is due to be released by June 2018.

A rising stars in jazz, Koller has developed quickly into a highly individual vocalist, melding jazz, funk, R&B and alt-rock sounds into her songs. Kristina arranges tunes in unique ways, knowing that adding to the legacy of jazz is much more important than recreating the performances of others. Kristina culled her musical chops in the NYC jazz scene, performing at jazz haunts such as Smalls, Smoke, Minton’s, Mezzrow as well as The Apollo Theater. Kristina was a featured Discovery Artist at the 2017 Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival and her quintet were semi-finalists in the 2017 DCJazzPrix competition. $10 admission. Friday 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm | Bernard (Pretty) Purdy | The Falcon 1348 Route 9W Marlboro, NY See Map |
Which musician did Aretha Franklin definitely NOT want missing from the line-up when she recorded her most inspired albums at the beginning of the seventies. Who provided the back-beat for Steely Dan's "Aja", and for whom have Isaac Hayes, Donny Hathaway, B.B. King, "Sweet" Lou Donaldson, Joe Cocker and Hank Crawford reserved that stool behind the drum kit? The list is incomplete; it must be, because no other drummer in the last three decades has seen the interior of a recording studio as often as Bernard "Pretty" Purdie. A native of Elkton, Maryland - Purdie has laid down the beat on over 3000 albums to date. The legendary drummer's style is described as the "funkiest soul beat" in the business. Purdie has never limited his talents, but has consistently sought out new musical experiences, anchoring sessions with the Rolling Stones, James Brown and Tom Jones with equal ease. "DRIVE" and "GROOVE" are definitely not missing from his vocabulary.
Friday 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm | Classic R&R Show with Ceesar, Bernie Servodio, Billy Beehler, George McGann, Dave Mucci | The Falcon 1348 Route 9W Marlboro, NY See Map |
The Ceesar band has been playing some of the most memorable classic rock - covering Led Zepplin, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Eagles, Jethro Tull, Steely Dan, Beatles, and Tom Petty among others. The band plays with such an infectious energy that you can’t help but get pulled in. Bernie has the ability to capture the quality of an artist’s voice no matter who he is covering. Billy will send chills through you with the intensity of his guitar playing while the rhythm section, Bass player George McGann and Drummer Dan Gamma, are putting down a tight solid groove to lay the foundation for the music that will move you before you know you are even moving. The chemistry that is created by these four musicians only comes around once maybe twice through a musician’s career. Ceesar Classic R&R Show is classic rock at its best. Featuring: Bernie Servodio / Vocals, Billy Beehler / Guitar and Vocals, George McGann / Bass and Dave Mucci / Drums and Vocals
