Red Hook, NY   See Map
Lisa Dudley has a passionate following of soldiers and veterans. Perhaps a signature song that best identifies who she is would be "Angel On My Shoulder" which is her most requested song. Her loyal following of fans love to hear her sing the songs that celebrate life, love and loss including an inspirational collection of "soft gospel". Songs like "Praise God for The Rain", "Use Me In A Mighty Way", and "I Will Rise Up Singing" have become standards in churches where she plays. With songs like "Twenty-One Guns","Broken Purple Heart", and "You Do The Job Right", the men in her audience - from soldiers to senators - get a feeling of empathy and appreciation seldom enjoyed in their own lives. The women in the audience also appreciate songs like "She Bought Your Love","Gotta Cut You Loose", and "Dangerous Curves" - a boot-stomping song about the power of a woman's body - which gives them the feeling that someone understands what's important to them too.

Singer/Songwriter Showcase
with Marc Von Em, Anthony Melillo, Joseph Melillo
Acoustic, Blues
12 Grapes Music & Wine Bar
12 North Division Street
Peekskill, NY   See Map
Marc (pictured here) has been described as soulful, funky, sometimes bluesy, sometimes haunting, always sincere. One reviewer writes: "... I can genuinely say if you haven't heard or seen him live, you are only cheating yourself." Marc has performed with Rob Thomas of Matchbox Twenty, and had appearances on Letterman and Leno.

Anthony is an acoustic artist, singer/songwriter and composer. He is often compared to an early John Mayer and Chris Carraba of Dashboard Confessional. His new CD "Just Getting Started" is already gaining attention on the music scene.

Also performing tonight is Anthony's brother, Joseph, an acoustic artist who has a powerful voice, a soulful delivery and an accomplished repertoire. It's always an enjoyable evening when these two young men are on stage.

Celtic
Bodles Opera House
39 Main Street
Chester, NY   See Map
Since forming in 1988, Tempest has delivered a globally-renowned hybrid of high-energy folk rock fusing Irish reels, Scottish ballads, Norwegian influences and other world music elements.
Hailing from Oslo, Norway, founding member and lead singer/electric mandolinist Lief Sorbye is recognized as a driving force in the modern folk-rock movement. Fiddler Michael Mullen, a favorite with the fans, is the original fiddler for the group. Bassist Damien Gonzalez, a native Californian, is also an accomplished drummer and didgeridoo player who may occasionally breathe fire. Native of Devon, England, and a former member of the UK's folk-rock band Equation, guitarist James Crocker combines a deep-rooted British folk sensibility with a life-long rock experience. Cuban-born drummer Adolfo Lazo, an original Tempest member, colors the band's sound with inventive percussion.
Tempest is regularly featured at prestigious festivals including The Philadelphia Folk Festival, Denmark's Skagen Festival, and Britain's Cropredy Festival. The band is also a mainstay at countless American Celtic festivals.
With masterful musicians and innovative arrangements of traditional and original material, Tempest's dedication to its muse and global fan base continues unabated.

SONiA & disappear fear, Arlon BennettBodles Opera House
39 Main Street
Chester, NY   See Map
Whether in the bomb shelters "Miklats" in Israel or summer camps in Palestine, Human Rights Events, Colleges, Festivals or Venues around the world SONiA is always striving to disappear fear and spread her message of Peace. In fall 2007 SONiA released a new CD with her band 'disappear fear' to the world (al mundo).
"t a n g o" features 13 songs in Spanish, Hebrew, Arabic and English. The music matches the words in poetry about Love, Peace and Equality; themes familiar to SONiA's writing since the creation of 'disappear fear'.
"t a n g o" has been classified as WORLD and Folk-Pop. Latin and Middle Eastern rhythms and instrumentation along with lush string arrangements and harmonies are featured. SONiA & disappear fear began a coast to coast tour of the USA and Canada with the launch of the CD this fall and will end 2007 in Australia.

Solo for several years SONiA has now begun touring with other musicians and has revived the harmonies that her band 'disappear fear' has always been known for with the addition of Laura Cerulli on vocals, drums and percussion.

The Waiting Room - Tribute To Genesis
Rock (classic)
Bearsville Theater
291 Tinker St
Woodstock, NY   See Map
Since 1998, The Waiting Room has been paying tribute to the Peter Gabriel era of Genesis, as well as Gabriel's solo material. The Band concentrates on the accurate reproduction of the signature Genesis sound using authentic instruments such as Moog Taurus Pedals, ARP Synthesizers, Rickenbacker Basses and many different electric and acoustic guitars. They also recapture the live energy and drama of a live Genesis show with the use of authentic make up, costumes, custom lights, smoke, stage props and backdrops to complete the production.

The focus of The Waiting Room, however, is the music. They have studied the recordings of Genesis and Peter Gabriel meticulously, in order to provide the most accurate presentation possible. The band prides itself on presenting a new show each time they play which makes each concert a fresh experience for the audience.

One of the finest bands around. This is a group led by Phil Butta on lead vocals and guitars along with Scott Wallech on drums/vocals and Dave Gill on bass/vocals. Material is not the same old same old. Really great songs not played by other bands. Three sets getting stronger and stronger as the night goes on. Expect guest musicians to join in.
